This is (relatively I guess) tongue in cheek about the lifecycle of a newsstory that starts on the blog. It is quite funny and, naturally, pokes a stick in the eye of everybody here.

"Each time I've met Huffington, I wondered if she was not somehow the long-lost daughter of Madame Nicolai Ceaucescu, or a genetic cross between Martha Stewart and Count Dracula. Had this Greek-born harpy lived in medieval times, she would have been sewn up in a bag with a rooster and two snakes and thrown into the nearest river."

I'll second that.. I also have an 18 year old daughter voting for the first time... I am very proud she was determined to make sure she was registered properly and set to go. On the flip side, it continue to makes me feel older :>
