This is (relatively I guess) tongue in cheek about the lifecycle of a newsstory that starts on the blog. It is quite funny and, naturally, pokes a stick in the eye of everybody here.

"Each time I've met Huffington, I wondered if she was not somehow the long-lost daughter of Madame Nicolai Ceaucescu, or a genetic cross between Martha Stewart and Count Dracula. Had this Greek-born harpy lived in medieval times, she would have been sewn up in a bag with a rooster and two snakes and thrown into the nearest river."

Thank you, another voice of reason in the barren wilderness. It would be much more impressive if the L.A. Times was showing Kerry ahead in 8 of the 10 swing states outside of the margin of error, rather than a generic national number.
- redsoxnation, Kerry ahead in the polls? (2004)
