Has anyone ever heard of a football team playing twice in one day? It wouldn't shock me if it has happend way, way back in the day, before helmets and the like. But I believe this has to be a first in the modern age of football.
The Bored are already here. Idle hands are the devil's workshop. And no... we won't kill dolphins. But koalas are fair game.
Unless they're playing flag football, One of those games will be canceled or forfeited. Two games in one day especially against two different teams is insane. It's like a boxer fighting two guys in one night.

That's pretty sick. Hats off to the Eagles for pulling off what, as far as I can tell, is an unprecedented feat (or at least in modern-day football). And beating the shit out of both teams for that matter.
Begs the question-- are the Eagles that good, or was their competition that bad?
Edit: Oh, never mind. Having read the article more closely now, the first team they played calls themselves college football's worst team, hee.

Hey, I've lived in St. Paul on and off for the last 25 years, and I've only vaguely heard of Northwestern, so that tells you how big it (and its football program) is.
Pretty awesome story though. My old high school (which is also teeny tiny) has gotten huge write ups in the local papers twice for going 5-0 after an 0-9 season last year. It feels really weird seeing my old biology teacher on the front page of the Sports section. It's nice to have some good news in Minnesota football once in a while.

Profootballtalk.com is reporting that Williams is out of the country, and may have extenuating circumstances for why he missed his test. Note, he hasn't failed a test in this case, he just didn't show up when he was supposed to.
