Ok, can you name the tag team partner of Ravishing Rick Rude whose finishing move was the Flying Buritto (or something like that). I believe they were tag team champs a number of times in the NWA.

And other NWA trivia would be interesting to see...

I'd say that was "The Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez.

They gotta bring these back!!!:
"talk to the hand because the man don't understand." - "The Crippler" Chris Benoit
"...and that is the LAST WORD." - "The Big Nasty" Paul Wight
and of course: "Don't hate the playa...HATE THE GAME~!" - WCW World Champion Booker T

5 points for the Squire. Let's see who can get this one:

Who was the secret partner in a gorilla suit that helped Dusty Roads out at one point? (I believe it was during one of his many battles with the Horsemen.)

"Kent Brockman here once again at The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, where a complete evacuation has taken place. Details are sketchy at best, so we've taken what little information we have, added our own theories, and concluded that whatever the likely disaster, it's most likely the work of our former president Richard M Nixon, even though he is rumored dead." -Kent Brockman

From what I can tell from your posts Kent, I don't think I'll be able to stump you. The gorilla question was probably the most obscure, difficult one I had.

Let someone else try this one: How was Lex Luger first introduced in the NWA?

Ok, so I'm a big NWA fan. Make fun of me (and my "totally 80s" car). The only thing that ticked me off about them was that you almost never saw Dusty Roads wrestle on TV. Most of his matches were at the arena shows in the south that were never broadcast. Is there a reason why the big names like Flair and Roads didn't do anything more than the interviews on the TV? Did they have special contracts or something?

It's because back then most of a company's money came from house shows. TV was basically a 30-60 minute ad for whatever next big house show was coming up.

This is also the reaosn behind the creation of the TV title. It was a way for the NWA to give the TV viewers a title match on 'free' TV while saving the big World Title match for the paying crowd at the house show.

Ya know, CRZ, I wouldn't read too much into those WWE Web searches. A relative very few WWE employees have actual say in stuff, but most people at the Entertainment Center are just dumb wrestling fans searching for stupid shit like the rest of us.
