There was jubilation on the court as Cornell head coach Steve Donahue and his players took turns snipping the net and taking away a piece of history.
"I'm like a proud parent. These guys took me for a ride," Donahue said summing up the team's season. "I'm proud of the program we've built and what these guys have accomplished. They're very talented kids that have bought into every thing we do."
The Big Red last won an Ivy League title in 1988 and no team other than Penn or Princeton has won the league since then.
I spent a year as an undergrad at the Big Red U. While it wasn't the right place for me academically, I've got no ill will towards the school, and it's about time that someone other than Princeton or Penn got to the Dance from the Ivy. *thumbs up*
smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; June 18, 2006) While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.
Why WOULDNT Pargo be getting calls in the play-offs? What happened to all that "Superstars shouldn't get all the favorable calls" stuff you were just talking about? So now just because he's a rookie, there are certain calls he shouldnt get?
