It sure would have cut back on this current round of nonsense.
Sorry about that. I'm going to set up a troll flag that the moderators can flip that should put a 48 hour hold on new posters creating threads.
I'll leave it off by default, but it will be there in the future if we need it.
Unlike the spell checker, this should be done before the football game is over.

Yep.
I'm only about 65 posts in, and I think the first 50 were straight up informative wrestling or basketball posts. There was no way anyone could have had strong feelings for or against me.
Then I ventured off onto the politics forum one day, and either attacked Bush or defended Dean for a few posts. Soon enough, I found myself with a 1.79 rating over 3 raters, and 2 people have me on ignore. How convenient.

The lesson is not to post in the Politics folder, especially if you disagree with the topic creator.

It looks like you were rated based on comments in the wrestling folder, if I understand how the instant rating works. It looks like it was the Walgreens DVD post and one about Raw X -v- Wrestlemania XX.
Or, perhaps you PMd someone and they put you on ignore?

I think there is some truth to this.... I have been spending far less time the Politics folder, and my "Insta-rating" has started to climb. Of course, that was before this post, so...
I probably shouldn't care... but it did irk me a bit.
