it may be a big star to replace but he was never truly over like he should have been given his monster push thats lasted 2 years. he never became the next big thing. this will give cena & eddie a chance to shine. i imagine someone will move over from RAW and be given the Big Show type make over to revitalize their careers. With Goldberg and his 1.5 million and Lesnar and his 1.3 million dollar contracts gone I would expect Vince to make a big splash in some area. lesnar hasn't sold a lot of tickets. eddie and cena can sell more. i'm not too upset!
I'm not so sure it's a good thing yet, but its definately going to be interesting to see what happens to fill the hole Brock's (still supposed) departure will make. I definately see Booker, RVD, or both moving to Smackdown now. I'll bet WWE was thinking about it, but this would be something that makes them do it soon.
I thought he was just awesome when I first saw him. Larger than life. Throwing that TV in rage, intimadating people with his mere presence...in the end I suppose he rose too quickly for his own good.
He has everything he needs except the right attitude.
I'd rather seen Kane make the jump. He's a convincing big man who could actually work in the main event, and he's a heel. We already have Eddie, Cena, and Taker on the Smackdown side of the monster babyfaces, but only Big Show and Angle will remain in terms of credible main-event heels.

Bingo!
But with that type of wrestler, in this current formula of TV, is there any other way? You can't protect him by sticking him matches with Tom Stone every week for a year, and then having him beat mid carders on House shows for another year tail he is ready to be fed to the Main eventer. How exactly do you build a Brock Lesner, and keep him as a long term investment?
I liked Brock, I didn't like the character they turned him into, very inconsistent and nonsensical booking on the part of the writing staff. In an indirect way, I feel they brunt of the blame should fall on there shoulders.
I gotta say I don't get the "good for him" sentiment and I'm glad to see that not everyone is doing that. It's one thing to walk out when you have no money. It's another thing to make a ton of cash and then walk out. It may be smart but let's not say it's brave or anything. Spanky he ain't.
I also think that he should give notice. If I have to give notice when I leave Dominion (Canadian Grocery Chain) than Brock has to give notice to the company that pumped a million bucks into his pocket.
I really think, though, that this situation STRONGLY calls into question the intelligence behind putting a massive push on someone who is completely unproven. I can see the argument of "is there any other way" but clearly there is. Kurt wasn't pushed that hard. Brock push was almost as sickening as Randy Orton's, and sure, he was a million times better than Randy ever will be (probably) but still, it seemed odd. Now WWE is screwed.
I'm sorry, I just feel a contract should mean something. If you sign your name to something, that should have impact. This isn't any job, we're talking about a freaking contract. I've never gotten out of contract work. Granted, I'm not a star, but that doesn't make me feel any better about it.
I'd tell you to kiss my ass, but I don't want to get it infected.
Well is there any other way for a monstrous type character like Brock? Like with Kurt you had more options, basically a freedom to do as you saw fit, in the time they saw fit. Cause with Kurt, they struck gold, he was just so damn good across the board how could you go wrong? Kurt wasn't and couldn't be destroyed by losing to Tazz, Big Show, Jericho, Benoit, HHH, Rock, Taker in his first year. While in the same time span, one clean job during Brock's build, would have ruined him to the point of no return.
