There is a short piece on Brock Lesnar being offered a new WWE Contract. So short in fact here it is:
"Lesnar offered WWE contract
WWE.com has learned that Brock Lesnar has met with his attorney, David Olsen, to discuss the written contract offer Lesnar received last week from World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. It is unclear when the contract will be signed. The terms were not disclosed."
Also... Ted DiBiase of all people is weighing in on Marty Janetty?? Why not?
They presumably have Lesnar already signed, since there's no logical reason why they would tease him and not deliver.... unless the plan is to have him 'appear' on a show out of nowhere as a rogue Matt Hardy-ish character.
As for Dibiase, I would bet good money on him being inducted into the hall of fame at next year's Wrestlemania.
(edited by Big Bad on 28.7.05 0031) Matt Tracker: Great comix this week. But why not use the Trojan corner to feature the adventures Al Wilson? DEAN: Al Wilson rides it bareback, my brother. Matt Tracker: Waitress, I won't need this omelette after all, thanks. DEAN: He's too much of gentleman to assume that the lady he is with would have a disease and he's man enough to raise any offspring that should arise. HE IS AL WILSON.

I've been thinking about that, and given the WWE.com site is trying to 'scoop' the wrestling new sites, I think Lesnar's not actually signed yet. They're just reporting on it because if they don't mention he's in negotiations, someone else will, and thus there's no point to trying to keep it a surprise. It's part of WWE.com's new approach.
I think it's something that's just always been around. They have grown in quantity and creativity in the last four years or so, though. I remember going to WWF events back in the 80s and there was lots of them.
