Here's the thing, I wanted to be nice to Legendary. I really did. It stars Patricia Clarkson, who's not only a great actor, but is the next door neighbor of one of my best friends. She's a super nice lady in real life. Plus it stars Danny Glover, an old favorite of mine from the Lethal Weapon series. And while I haven't liked any of WWE Studios action movies except The Condemned, I thought I'd be open-minded and objective about their first venture into serious drama.
Oh, but this movie sucks. Trite, slooooow, and boring boring boring, with one of the Worst Actresses I've Ever Seen as the teenage love interest to the lead teenager. John Cena is all right; he didn't embarrass himself or the Nexus. But Legendary wasn't worth the dollar rental at Red Box.
It's one of those bizarre things that can only happen in an animated show. A full year passes (in this episode, no less) and no one gets any older. Francine's past as a stand-up comic was something out of left field. It definitely had its moments.
