Here's the thing, I wanted to be nice to Legendary. I really did. It stars Patricia Clarkson, who's not only a great actor, but is the next door neighbor of one of my best friends. She's a super nice lady in real life. Plus it stars Danny Glover, an old favorite of mine from the Lethal Weapon series. And while I haven't liked any of WWE Studios action movies except The Condemned, I thought I'd be open-minded and objective about their first venture into serious drama.
Oh, but this movie sucks. Trite, slooooow, and boring boring boring, with one of the Worst Actresses I've Ever Seen as the teenage love interest to the lead teenager. John Cena is all right; he didn't embarrass himself or the Nexus. But Legendary wasn't worth the dollar rental at Red Box.
It's hard to screw up a Comic-Con episode, so this really worked for me. Then there's the Comic Book Guy cameo and...wait...a genuine Comic Book Guy cameo...complete with Simpsons-style animation...in a Seth MacFarlane show? BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
