If LeBron's upset about Cleveland's front office, I dare him to try and get a maximum-dollar contract extension out of Donald Sterling, or languish on a Knicks team that isn't going anywhere anytime soon." And you know GM Kobe's gonna nix the idea of LeBron on the team because he's insecure about being the second-best player on his team. That would seem to leave Boston as a probable destination for LeBron... if, in fact, there's any truth to this scenario at all. Any thoughts?

If LeBron ends up in Boston, someone in this area must have made an incredible deal with the devil for 3 Super Bowls, a World Series and the Cavaliers to bring in a mental pigmy as owner to trade LeBron. I understood New York and L.A. as part of 'shoe company pays extra money and LeBron takes mid-level exception to bigger market', but Boston? Not complaining. Off the top of my head, if LeBron were to shoot his way out of town this summer: sign and trade where the Cavalier center gets max dollars with the C's, LeBron, and a couple of bad contracts go to Boston for Pierce, Al Jefferson, Mark Blount, Tony Allen and a few #1 picks might work cap wise. Now, if Cleveland were really stupid, and trading LeBron would qualify in the monumentally stupid category, maybe the Celtics could keep Jefferson and send Kendrick Perkins in the package instead. Never going to happen, but this is probably as close as my mind has come to #17 going to the rafters in about 13 years.

Hell, I didn't. That team had no business making the second round, much less the conference finals. This year's team, however _ assuming that the Heat suddenly disappear from the face of the earth _ could be verrrrrrrry interesting in the playoffs. I really like the way they're looking right now when Antoine is healthy. Plus, we could see the return of THE SHIMMY~!

I saw the two teams in the Western Conference Finals (Lakers and Kings in the '02 classic series) and realized if Boston were to get past Jersey in the Finals, the best they could hope for was to get 2 games in the series so the title wouldn't be celebrated on their court. Sacramento was a hideous match-up for them, and the Lakers had Shaq and Kobe when both still cared about winning. |
