| #10 Posted on 22.7.02 1706.46 | When he was in Atlantic Grand Prix (around 79 or 80), Lanny used to end the matches by sprinting to the corner, running up the ropes, and throwing a cross-body block from the top, which sounds incredibly hokey, but in the Maritimes in 1979, it was like seeing an alien from outer-space come into the ring. Even the heels in the promos afterwards would be busy trying to go - how did he do that? For a while, if I remember correctly, the Cuban Assassin was claiming that he had never been pinned by Lanny, because the move was clearly impossible to execute. Bill McCullough would describe how Lanny had done it and the Cuban Assassin would just look at him and go - Now does THAT sound plausible?
