The good thing is that when you click on a post it will take you directly to that post. The bad thing is that it will only do that if the post you click on is in the first page of a thread. If it isn't, clicking the link just takes you to the first post in a thread. Now, there's just the matter of making the extra click to get to the second page, and even I'm not too lazy to do that so it's not that big of a deal, but is there anyway to fix this or add something to make it work? This is actually a pretty good idea, but in order to implement it I would need to find a way to account for the fact that we allow you to select how many posts you want to see on a page. The default is 20, I use 100, you might have something completely different. I suppose we could alter this page to work off individual user stats and manually figure out what number in a thread a particular post is...hmmm, I'll see if I can figure it out (and how much slower it would make that page generate) and get back to you.

http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=25935&page=#295417
But they would make much more sense as:
http://the-w.com/thread.php/postid=295417 (or whatever)
Which would construct the thread array in memory, divide by your posts per page count, then redirect you to the correct page and anchor for the specific post you wanted.
Everywhere that attempts to link to individual posts should do the same sort of thing.

Now, I doubt that our Google searches are actually working like that, so maybe it's a moot point.
