I still wish he had come to the Clippers instead of staying in Charlotte. Maybe he does, too. (Or not)

Larry Brown steps down as Charlotte Bobcats coach - ESPN

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Larry Brown is out as coach of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Owner Michael Jordan said in a release Wednesday that in a mutual decision after Charlotte's disappointing 9-19 start that Brown has stepped down as coach.

The 70-year-old Brown was in his third season with the Bobcats and led them to a franchise-first playoff appearance last season.

I knew he was old, but not 70 old. I'm pretty sure this is it for him.

If he doesn't end up back in the NBA, or college, or high school, or CYO, then the Clippers are always a possibility.

Even though (given the sheer number of teams he's coached) it's all in good fun to tease him, in truth I'll always remember him as the coach who first led the Pacers to success in the NBA.

So Steve Kerr will be the GM of the Suns. John Paxson is the GM of the Bulls. Michael Jordan is the part owner and basically GM of the Bobcats. B.J. Armstrong was going to be the next GM of the Bulls until Paxson aced him out of the job.
