Okay, so I'm thinking about finally updating my old laptop (Windows ME doesn't really do it for me anymore, y'know?) and I want to cash in on some bargains while the promise - threat? - of Vista brings down the prices on machines currently running XP ... I was seriously considering switching over to a MacBook so I could do the dual boot-up thingie, but then this little baby caught my eye:

HP Pavilion dv9035nr Notebook PC (hp.com)

Good screen size (17"), plenty of memory (2048 MB), rewritable DVD drive (that means it can write to CDs too, right?), a TV tuner (that may come in handy someday), dual 80 GB hard drives ... If anyone can recommend this model (or point me towards any other good ones), I'm all ears.

They do have RCA to S-Video and S-Video to RCA adapters. Even if your computer has a different connector than your TV, you should be Connecting video is the first part, but you are probably going to want to route audio as well.
