Like most of you, I appreciate Lance's technical style and unique moveset. I'm also positively biased towards anyone associated with ECW and I loved Storm as an Impact Player and when he was involved with the Triple Threat.
That said, he flat out looks TERRIBLE in alot of his matches! In particular, many of his moves look like they are done in slow motion. They look completely unconvincing. Also, the pulling out the rolling maple leaf once every couple of matches was a great spot. However, a single leg Boston Crab should not suffice as a finisher for anyone, much less a wrestler of Storm's skill.
I think he's at his best as a tag team wrestler. His brief run as a multiple title holder in WCW was cool, but WWF fans wouldn't buy it. Just do the obvious thing, team him up with another Canadian and have them be a permenant team. ****INSIGNIFICANT SPOILER***** I read he tags with Christian on Smackdown. Sounds like a good pairing to me.
Storm should team with a re-packaged Justin Credible, or a big strong average worker a la the old Hart Foundation. Ideally, I'd pick Rhyno, but he's still injured and I can't really think of someone off the top of my head who's currently active that fits the bill.
Christian shouldn't team with anyone... he's really good in his midcard role, and as others have siad, they don't want to set him up so he's viewed as only a tag team wrestler.
It was a pretty good interview. In a nutshell, from what I can remember, this is what it covered. It was mostly stuff that most people in the IWC already know about. Michael Landsberg (the host) and Benoit talked about: -18 years of hard work.
