There's a reason they play the games. Plus, how can you go wrong with one-half of the best Super Bowl ever two years ago?

At least the Steelers aren't there. I find the Steelers SO boring to watch. It's not that they're a bad team...they're just boring.

I see this game (Patriots vs Rams) being close for about three quarters and the Rams then pulling away in the fourth. I hope that somehow the Patriots can pull off an upset, however.

The Steelers are about as boring as any other team in the league. The Bears and Pats are fun to watch, because they get lucky. So, its fun to watch them find a way a game, they are obviously out of. The Rams are amazing to watch, but at the same time, the offense is barely on the field to get a look at them.

I would have preferred to have two equal teams in the big game, so after the Steelers lost, the Eagles would have to go in, because they are the same quality team. The Rams are vastly superior to the Pats in every way. Drew had one good game with a double digit lead to begin with and I'm sure they want Brady for the big game to kept it respectable. The Pats will get crushed like they did in the last Super Bowl against GB. The Steelers would have given them a decent game, but the Rams would have beaten them too. The Pats are one of many teams that made it to the Super Bowl that really didn't deserve it.

A Fan- At the least the Philly fans lost, too. You all lost. Everyone one. The NFL Players, the NFL fans and you too, Ric Flair. You all lost.

Well last year we had Giants vs Ravens,

The last two times the Paties came to N.O. they got Dumped!

I was hoping for the Bears/Steelers or a Steelers/Eagles!

hoped that answers your question CRZ

Yeah, it couldn't get much worse than last year's game, I hope!

Do you, Cajunman, really have to put exclamation points at the end of your sentences!

I find it very hard to take a post seriously when you do!

It makes me read the post to myself in a manner that a person speaking in all exclamations would!

I hope you understand that last sentence!

Wow, exclamation points suck.

My most desirable Super Bowl would have been Packers V Radiers. But yeah, no.

Rams will win easy if Bradey stars. If Bledso starts, its a WHOLE new ballgame, and could go either way.

Actually, it would be interesting to see how Bledsoe would play. Knowing what the Rams did to Brett Farve, and Drew's tendancy to throw INT's, then I don't think it would be pretty. If Brady plays, the Pats have a better chance, IMO.

BTW, the Patriots didn't get crushed in the last Super Bowl. It was only a 6 point game when Desmond Howard returned the kick for a TD in the 3rd quarter.

WOW! Many people find the Steelers boring to watch. Being a packer fan, I don't. I enjoy watching their 3-4 defense. The teams I find most boring to watch are Tampa Bay and Miami (heck, I don't watch playoffs games that involve Miami b/c they suck). The Bears are not fun to watch. Their offense is so boring. Throw long Miller!

I don't think Blediso played that well today. He did well when he first stepped in leading them to a TD before the half, but didn't do much after that. Just didn't lose the game. Does anyone think Cowher was wrong to keep Bettis in the game for too long?

Hey, these two teams played earlier in the year and the Rams only won by 7.

This could be closer than anyone thinks...

Great to see the best Defensive coach in the league versus the best Offensive coach. Could be quite a chess match...

I think Cowher wanted to establish a running game, but it was too late when it was 14-3. At that time, they had to air it out. Even if they didn't get the blocked punt return, the Steelers still would play long ball. Which I thought they did well until the 2 ints Kordell had to finish the game.

What sealed the game for me is when the Pats scored the field goal, I knew the Steelers' confidence was low, espcially when the Defense couldn't stop them from scoring. Still, the Steelers had plenty of chances to tie and win that game.

A Fan- Lets go Pens.

I agree, I think Cowher wanted to force his team's will (running the ball) on the Pats, and they didn't get a chance to because they were going to have to play catch up the rest of the day. Someone had pointed out before the game that the Pat's had the 3rd best red zone defense in the NFL going into the game, and based on the regular season, the Steelers had trouble getting the ball into the endzone on a regular basis, relying on a very suspect Kris Brown.

That wasn't all that big a factor with the punt return and blocked kick being the big game breakers, but it did point to the Pat's having a good defense.

I'm looking forward to the game (one I predicted after Wildcard weekend), and I know the media is salivating over the possible QB controversey and the story of the Rams going for another ring. Thank goodness it's this Sunday and we don't have to wait another week for it!

drew2 - who wonders what might have been had the Seahawks made it in . . . ah, probably the same damn thing.

I get the feeling the game will not be close like last time they met. This time it's on turf not grass, so it could be a blowout. I hoping I'm wrong though.

The Pats are the Cinderella of this year. Why can't they play with the Rams? Stranger things have happened. We'll see on Sunday.

There was also the money sketch graphic that had the soccer dude kicking the ball into real-Conan's open mouth that was funny yet looked strangely homosexual. You had the goalie getting married, eating dinner, etc.
