I don't know how this hasn't been a thread yet, but this was an absolute tour de force that along the way probably stretched fair use laws to their absolute limits. I was so happy to see the Critters back, and even enjoyed the ManBearPig storyline when it did nothing for me originally. But the true stars of the show were all the random characters popping up. Favorites were Ronald McDonald holding his arm ala Private Ryan, the ghosts from Pacman, and Popeye being on the council, but I know I'm forgetting about a hundred others.

With the glut of shows trying to fight over who can make the best 80's childhood reference SouthPark gets lost in the shuffle but the truth is Matt and Trey are still the masters. It's not even close. Winning that Emmy was just the fuel they needed.

The return of the Critters OWNED! But I don't remember hearing Al Gore utter "super serial" once, which is criminal! The rest of the whole thing ruled the universe and was probably the best thing since "Go God Go!" from last season.

Butters' "Aw shit!" to close the show was just too good for words.

Kinda funny but not worth three episodes.

SOOO many random characters from the past. I think I saw Orko from He-Man in there. I'm sure some fanboy site out there already has a complete listing---in alphabetical order.

Caught a glimpse of Mario and She-Ra, but I must have missed Peter Griffin ...

"No, ManBearPig must die!"

Awesome.

I really enjoyed all three as well. IMO Butters had the 2 best lines, the "Aw shit" and "You're not gonna rape us, are you?" (in the first episode).

I was a little creeped out by the Cartman/Kyle storyline - couple this with Cartman/Butters from last season and Carman is one really disturbed character.

The return of the critters did rule.

This whole thing was epic.

Thankfully, it was made very clear that Aslan and Jesus Christ are two completely different characters. So, I don't have to hear or read a discussion of such subject ever again. :-)

I marked out hard for Popeye just decking every random bad guy. Jesus decapitating Pinhead was great too.

This show made me want to watch South Park.

This was an awesome three show arc and I loved every minute of them.

Butters continues to be the best character on that show and just carries every scene he is in. He does, in fact, rule.

Wario and the Pac Man chosts? Stellar.

Butters has been my favorite since his Paris Hilton "Stupid spoiled whore" episode.

More Butters makes me a happy panda.

Having missed these the first time around, I picked up the "Imaginationland" DVD on the day of release at Best Buy for $11.99 and we just got around to watching it yesterday (HAPPY EASTER!!) - it was worth the price and 65 minutes of my life. I'm not sure how/if it was much different from what aired last year, aside from an obvious lack of bleeps on the F words, but I thought it was a blast. I probably WILL go back later and frame through certain scenes to try to catch all the "cameos" - our definite early favourite was SINISTAR.

It also included the "Woodland Christmas Critters" and "ManBearPig" episodes for context. I didn't watch 'em.

Only minor complaint is they could have gone ahead and made it anamorphic given the fact that they letterboxed it in the first place, but this isn't high art here, so I can let that go.

I don't know if it's worth $14.99 (The W at Amazon) but maybe the used copy at $10.20 is worth seeking out.

It might have been mentioned before, but you all know that there is a website (southparkzone.com) where you can watch every episode and download them for free, right? Even the newest episodes right after they are shown.

Before I get yelled at, I should mention that it is totally legal! Hells Yeah!!

Zeruel Edit: I shrunk it down a tad. It was almost as tall as my 1280x1024 window.

IMDB has a write up on it: Click Here (imdb.com)

For reportedly the first time, every episode of every season of a TV series will be streamed online in its entirety with the official launch Tuesday of the new South Park website at southparkstudios.com. In a statement, Comedy Central said that since a beta version was launched last Wednesday, it had delivered more than a million streams of full South Park episodes. The show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, said in a statement that they had pushed for the site because "we got really sick of having to download our own show illegally all the time so we gave ourselves a legal alternative." Due to contractual issues, the episodes will not be available in the U.K., Australia and a few other countries, "but we're not far off from making that happen," South Park Digital Studios General Manager Anne Garefino said.

Emphasis mine. Sounds like good news for you international fans.

That's actually not the site; www.southparkstudios.com is the official site. New episodes are only up for 7 days after airing than get taken down for 30 days due to contract stipulations.

southparkzone.com is the site that has had episodes available for download for several years. It's not affiliated with South Park, and is quasi-legal in the sense that Parker & Stone appear to have no intention to shut it down, but if they so wished, they could do so at any time.

The South Park guys have said for many years that they don't care about downloading their show and thus there are numerous sites just like southparkzone out there. Same deal with Family Guy actually. I wonder if they have some deal so that Comedy Central isn't allowed to go after people doing this as long as Parker and Stone don't OK it.

Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her.

SPZ is just a place that has links to the places that actually host the files.

Matt and Trey have said over and over that they are ok with people DL'ing their show but I'm sure if it starts severely hurting the DVD sales, the parent companies might take action.
