I don't think he'd ever pass a drug screening, but supposedly he's serious.
TNA star Kurt Angle is saying on Twitter that he is currently training for the Olympics, presumably the 2012 games from London. Angle is of course a former Olympic gold medalist, capturing amateur wrestling's top prize in the 1996 games from Atlanta. Here's what Angle wrote on Sunday @AngleFoods1:
"much negativity goin round @ Olympic comeback.I truly am getting ready.Don't compare it to my Ufc- mma attempts,We couldn't agree on "terms"
"Terms that were about $ and starting dates.Olympics will be on My "terms". Nobody elses'.It's not for Publicity or I would tweet it everyday"
"To the naysayers, believe what U want. But "I" am in control of this. Nobody else. My nephew and I started training for it."
"As long as I stay injury free,I am going for it.Tna's backing Me.It won't be easy. Probably harder than Mma. But at least its under my terms"

Last I checked, the Olympics were a team sport. While Kurt Angle seemingly lives on another planet, you have to qualify for an individual Earth-based country's team to be in the Olympics. Even if Kurt could qualify and pass the drug tests, I think his mental state would give the selection committee serious pause.
What's the over/under on Angle announcing his candidacy for president? (And if Angle were to run for president, how many viable candidates would be dumb enough to accept TNA's offer for equal time?)
Wasn't Kurt going to leave pro wrestling to compete in the Olympics in '04 after he got pumped about his wrestling skills again by being able to take Lesnar down a few times when they were sparring/fighting in the back?
Should Michaels do one more go? He just did, and went out with a win (okay, out on a STRETCHER with a win), in a match that was much better than most thought it would be. Let him retire (again) with a little style and grace.
