I'm not so sure the stalking is what is going to bother them, although maybe none of it does, but the evil HGH in the car of a former Olympic Gold Medalist seems more damning these days ... at least in the headlines.
The problem with your Snuka story is there was no internet back then. The fans were already chanting "You Got Busted." Only a number of people knew about Snuka murdering that women and the police never pressed charges thus it has become an urban legend. As for Austin, he was left sometime in May and didn't return until February, so he was punished in a way for almost nine months. I also believe Debra did not press charges. So, living in this ADD generation we forgot about the Debra deal. What TNA is doing now is saying to the locker room and fans, we spent a lot of money to get Kurt and by God, we intend to suck everything we can out of him. As well as saying Russo's booking must be seen through no matter what the cost. To me, this an incident where I am embarrassed to be a wrestling fan and yes, as a Yankee fan I was embarrassed by A-Rod, Petite and Clemens especially Clemens.
Found this an interesting read. Basically a 10 page oral history with some former TNA employees. Really like the Jeff Hardy and Vince Russo chapters: http://z6.invisionfree.com/grungereport/index.php?showforum=197
