| #1 Posted on 3.10.07 1735.54 | Instant Rating: 3.28 | Mike Informer at PWBTS.com is reporting that Kurt Angle has been arrested for a DUI last Friday. Seems he left a bar and did some "erratic driving" and police found him at home where he failed a field sobriety test . Cannot be good news and PR for TNA headed into their new 2 hour show.

Perhaps you meant "Kurt's a blooming idiot for driving while drunk."
Hopefully you meant that you wouldn't have driven drunk in the first place.

Would it be overblowing it had Angle not been so lucky and smashed up another car, killing its occupants?
Thank whomever that Angle merely got a DUI charge and not vehicular homicide.

You certainly don't come across like someone with an agenda!
Regardless, it doesn't look like Angle was one of the tortured innocents to which you refer:
Originally posted by WrestlingObserver.com ...police got a report of an erratic driver and the description of the car, a white Cadillac Escalade, and driver matched Angle. At 1:49 p.m. a motorist cmplained that someone driving a white Cadillac, giving Angle's license plate number, nearly struck his vehicle in the parking lot and was driving erratically, almost hitting a traffic sign.

Feeling impaired and being impaired are two different things.
This is beside the point anyway, because the story precludes Angle from being unfairly targeted here. It seems pretty confirmed he was driving erratically and nearly caused an accident. It's going from a moving violation to DUI (and a bigger story) because he failed the field sobriety test.
Multiple posters defending the rights of drunk drivers in this thread seems strange to me. Maybe there's a context where that works, but this is the same Kurt Angle who's been pretty reckless with his health and well being for quite a while now. It's just another dumb choice he made.
Torch says police found him with pills in his mouth, which is also no surprise.

Sounds like "the practice" defense coming into play. Drink before the cops are there or as they show up. Can't prove he was drunk WHILE DRIVING. | Cerebus

What I'm reading is that this woman wasn't hit and there was no property damadge from Kurt's car hitting anything because he DIDN'T hit anything.
It's one woman's alledged sighting and she gives a license plate number from memory.
...and Kurt CONFESSES?!?!

I fail to see where any posters, let alone multiple posters, defended the rights of drunk drivers in this thread. Looks to me like everyone who gave an opinion on drunk driving said it was strictly a no-no.
