Saw this one with some kids. I really was suprised by the first movie, and Dreamworks has come a long way since drek like Shark Tale.
Gary Oldman is awesome as the villain and it is surprisingly dark for a kids movie. My only beef is the title. These movies are supposed to be homages to classic Kung Fu flicks and this should carry over to the title. Return of Kung Fu Panda, Revenge of Kung Fu Panda, Fist of Kung Fu Panda, etc.
And if the have any brains, they will make a stuffed animal modeled after Baby Po.
I second pretty much all of this...we got "upgraded" to 3-D at our showing because they accidentally put us in a 3-D equipped cinema for the special screening. I recommend doing without the 3-D. Some of the backgrounds got fuzzy, and the praying mantis character was prone to double vision...not sure why that was.
Technical issues aside, me & my kids loved the movie. And yes, definitely, on the stuffed baby Po. My daughter will be first in line.
Gary Oldman or Jeremy Irons should be required casting options for any future cartoon villains.

Saw it in 2D. loved it in 2D
I didn't even know until after the fact.
I've heard complaints about there being too many characters, but I think they are setting up a universe here. Master Shifu was central to the first movie, but this one is focusing more on Po's relationship with Mr. Ping and trying to learn about his past.
Tigress will likely be a central figure in the next one as there is definately a story there.
Another great thing about this movie was the relationship withe Shen and the Soothsayer. The obvious thing would've been for Shen to just get rid of her, but he keeps her around. And any other movie would've had the Soothsayer constantly taunting Shen with his future. There is some of that, but it is obvious that the Soothsayer cares about Shen's family and wants him to go down a different path. A lot of layers for a kids movie.
I just watched the trrailer and vomited in my mouth. JayJayDean - I will be next to you for Spy Kids 23 to avoid this dreck of Happy Feet Two. Sadly, it iwll make a boatload of money leading to HF3. God help us all.
