It's a very complicated situation with the "n word"
Because, its not as simple as 'Kramer says nigger and black people call each other nigger.'
Black people call each other nigga, just as many hispanics do... in fact, as a hispanic I can say nigga in front of or even to black people if I use the word casually, and I have (Not intentionally rly, but watever... nobody cared) BUT! I definitely cant say nigger.
In fact, ive seen a black man get offended cause another black man called him a nigger, because in many contexts "nigga" is a term of endearment and "nigger" is an allusion to the bigotted stereotype of an ignorant black man.
When it comes to why white people cant say any variation, well... in a way that's some sort of enduring counter-prejudice reflecting deeper social struggles and pseudo-hostilities that we in America might not see the end of in our lifetimes.

So yeah, George Lopez is right- Kramer is no veteran Stand up comic. He's just a comedy actor and doesnt know how to deal with hecklers like a true comic can.
From my point of view, Kramer was just pissed so he went straight to what he saw as the most effective way of insulting someone he felt had insulted him, and quite obviously... where he went was completely wrong.

I disagree. If you listen to rap music, the slang term is used to describe black people in general. For example, "all these _____ wanna say I'm old.... blah blah blah". So as Jesse Jackson himself has been saying all weekend, there is no reason or right for anyone of any color to be using any version of this word. Period. And I agree. What's so hard about that?
Does Michael Richards wear white sheets and burn crosses? Is he a card carrying member of the Aryan Nation?
He used a word, in frustration that every white person has used at least once in their life. Which was wrong, In a fair world, you apologize and move on.
Of course Jesse Jackson, won’t allow that, he’s going to use this to peak his ugly head from the veils of irrelevancy he has been dining in the past decade. Now, I’m thinking, we should all walk down the righteous path “The Reverend” walks down, if we forget about the extra marital affairs, the bastard children, and anti-Semitic slurs, Jesse Jackson is quite the role-model. Maybe he will get enough in the pot out of this, to silence a few more women, who knows? Just do as he says, not as he does.
No matter how the media sugarcoats this, there is nothing Taoist about it, it is what it is. Not a sign of a deeply rooted racial schism in America. Drive by your local highschool yo, that will disprove that theory.
