The fire sale begins!!

A good move for Les Habitants if Kovalev plays some inspired hockey. Sather may finally be doing what he should have done when he took the job... clean house.

And most of what he is having to clean up is the crap he tracked in himself over the last 4 years. Look for Nedved, Barnaby, Malakhov and Simon to be changing uniforms in the next few days.

And though I will loathe to see it, I am sure that Slats is going to trade Brian Leetch - probably back to his home state.

What a great day to be a Habs fan. The only missing is the Habs' 25th Stanley Cup.

This makes me so happy. And I can't believe they didn't have to give up much of anything.

Anyone know any good sites for stats on just about everything (including the past). Especially for like trades and stuff.

You can thank Bob Gainey for that, shipping over Christobal Huet for a number two pick, a trade which seems to have helped both clubs since Price went 7-3 since the trade (the trade being as much about boosting Price's confidence as anything else)
