I thought that this was too funny. From an interview with Chairshots, as transcribed by then Observer:
-On the chances of him getting in to the WWF: "No I haven't talked to them. You know, I must have some sort of heat there, because, I think, Vince is still mad, because one time I had Eddie ask for me and I guess when Hunter asked Vince he really didn't say 'Yes' or 'No' but he gave him a look like, 'I'm not interested', and Hunter asked Eddie 'does he have heat?' And the
only thing I can think of is maybe Paul E. has stopped me from going in there or he's still mad about the Max Moon gimmick in '91,when I just left in the middle of the tv tapings and never went back.
Every time something about Konnan's relationship with the WWF is brought up, everyone says that he's basically got no chance of ever getting hired by them because of all this heat he has with vince. Now, here he is going off about how he had no idea this might be the case and that even guys like Eddy Guerrero and HHH were absoluetly clueless about it. What's even funnier is that Eddy wouldn't ask Vince himself, he had HHH do it for him. These Konnan are always entertaining...
"You better get his ass outta here before I get up"- Undertaker
Steve Austin: -Went to WWF in 1996 after runs in WCW & ECW as The Ringmaster, changed gimmick to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and took off as a rebellious hellraiser. Helped make wrestling mainstream. Good worker, good actor, good look.
