According to 411mania (411mania.com), who got it from PWinsider, Konnan is on a list to get a kidney transplant. Too bad that it happens at anytime for anyone. He's hot right now with the LAX angle over in TNA and I can't find any information about if he'll be staying off show for any amount of time.
Hope all turns out well for him and his family.

411 got it from WrestlingObserver who got it from various Mexican sources.
The initial problem was a very bad hip. They've hid it well enough TNA, but he's done some in ring for AAA and looked like he's barely unable to move. He couldn't take a bump, and look stiff to the point where I was shocked to see him drop down to make a cover.
They wrote him out of AAA, and I got the impression they were going to do the same for TNA - even just rehabbing the hip, it might sideline him for a while. When they went to do this hip surgery this Monday, they had to abort the procedure because of fears he'd go into kidney failure. And that's how he gets on the kidney list.
I wouldn't think he'd be back any time soon, but I guess it's possible he could still do promos while waiting for his kidney. Doesn't seem like the soundest idea to do all that travel.
How many wrestlers are able to make a nice clean break from their careers and walk away on good terms with the fans and the company? Foley and Sting are two '90s stars I can think of.
