1) Looks like Kobe's gone for several weeks at least. Even without Shaq, they've been underachieving this season (IMO) and this game proved it. Two words: Ewing Theory.
2) Cleveland was wicked sloppy the entire game for a team that's known not to be sloppy. And Paul Silas had that Herm Edwards "ready to F someone up" scowl on his face for the entire game. The Cavs really need a perimeter shooter.
3) LeBron is a freak. Despite how horribly the Cavs played, he still had his probably 4th or 5th near-miss from a triple double and very nearly single-handedly won the game - a la T-Mac vs. the Spurs.
And I still think he's 29.
4) It was none other than Ira "Superkick" Newble who caused the injury.
LeBron James is so much better than I thought he would be. It is hard to believe that he is 20 years old. I find myself watching the Cavs a lot just to watch him. As Simmons said the other day, there is nothing around him on this team and they're going to win 55 games. Amazing.
So the Lakers pretty much turf the ENTIRE 2003-04 TEAM AND COACH for the sake of keeping Kobe happy and now it looks like he'll be out for a while. Looks like karma to me.
On the upside, maybe Odom and Butler can make superstars out of themselves in the meantime.

Apparently, there's people out there even more pissed off about the Knicks' state than I am. Anyhow, they started getting national attention when they were selling T-Shirts with Jim Dolan's face wearing a dunce cap (among others)
