|  #1 Posted on 25.5.02 1506.17 | Instant Rating: 0.00 | I seem to have run into a problem with wienerville since upgrading to Netscape 6.2 this morning -- if I preview my post, or leave the New Post page at all, when I come back it is completely blank. This hasn't happened to me before.
I wrote a lengthy post in the Random folder about the World Cup, and when I hit the back button after previewing it imagine my surprise when it was all gone -- the thread title and the Post portion were white as my ass. I did some testing and it happens whether or not I am starting a new thread or replying to one, and if I preview the post and come back or Bookmark my way out and come back. It doesn't happen when I use nasty old Explorer, and it never happened to me when I was using the older Netscape (I think I was still using 4.1).
Anyone else have this problem?

|  #2 Posted on 25.5.02 1555.38 | This usually happens on browsers where you set an empty cache, because that stuff is temporarily stored there (I think). Check your cache settings.

Just play it safe and "copy" your stuff and if you go back after you preview your post and it's gone, you have it backed up with just pressing "paste", I do that all the time when I feel the need to preview.
I just decidend to preview this post and came back and it was all still there...lol... Maybe it is a netscape thing because right now I'm using IE. But it has happened to me in the past

| #4 Posted on 25.5.02 1750.24 | Instant Rating: 0.00 | For what it's worth, I have my cache setting to "Automatically compare cache with page", with 4096KB of memory cache and 50000 KB of disk cache. And if I work offline my cache works fine. Sadly I don't think it's the cache. (Cool word that ... cache, cache, cache, cache, cache, cache)

What I probably need to do is send the post variables back with an edit button on the preview page, rather than have you hit back.
I think that would fix it.
I'll try to get to it on Monday - I finally have a frickin day off.
