The Calgary Flames today announced that they have signed goalie Miikka Kiprusoff to a "multi-year deal". Finnish newspaper Iltalehti reports (in FINNISH) that the terms are 3 years, $10 million.
Also, ESPN's E.J. Radek revealed (in ESPN.com's Insider section) that Flames defenseman Rhett Warrener has signed a 4-year, $9.4 million contract ($1.9 in the first year, $2.5 in each of the last 3 years).
Youngsters Chuck Kobasew & Matthew Lombardi are the only holdovers from the 2003-04 Cup Finalist squad still not signed.
A lot of NHLers were playing overseas. From what I heard, he was unable to play professional hockey anywhere in the world last year, due to the agreements the NHL has with the IIHF, as Chumpstain mentioned.
