Isn't this the second year in a row they've had a hot start WITHOUT Webber? Are they truly better with him in the lineup? Who sits when he comes back? Miller? Divac?
On a completely unrelated note, my Grizzlies are in last place with a .500 record...a record that would have them in second place in the Atlantic Division. I love it that J-Dub has toned down his flashy play...it's been great for the team, but I still yearn for some of his old school highlights.
If the Grizzlies could somehow convince the NBA offices to let them play all their games at home, they'd have 50-55 wins this year. It really blows my mind that, this late into the season, the Grizzlies are doing this well (and would still be over .500, if not for a 7-game losing streak). If they would only be more competitive with the Western Conference, then I think they'd be all right ... but someone's got to drop as the year goes on, and I'm afraid it'll be them, unfortunately.
As it relates to the Kings .... I think Bill Simmons has been saying this for a while, but there's got to be some kind of Ewing Theory as it relates to Webber and the Kings.
