First, I had the great pleasure to interview the departed Brandon and still-in-the-running Danielle.

Wow, did the Danielle-Joshua conflict cool over quickly.

The Nerd War was a debate about superhero plot elements. Two of the judges are Jason Mewes & Kevin Smith (Jay and Silent Bob). Not very action packed, but I appreciate Genevieve and Danielle's passion for delivering their points. Unfortunately, Joshua mixed up Mark Millar and Frank Miller.

Blextrophy (Blue) loses yet another Nerd War, 3-0. It's Genevieve vs. Alana in superheroine outfits for the Nerd-Off.

With the help of Wikipedia, Genevieve managed to answer the obscure trivia and defeats Alana, 4-1. Genevieve even gets to cut a promo against the members of Servants then blasts a wall. I only got the Superman-related questions right (Supes' year of first appearance & other notable superhero appearing in Action Comics #1).

Genevieve's personality is a 180-degree turn from getting weepy from Kevin Smith's voting against her. Maybe she'll fire up Blue for the next Nerd War.

Full recap.

What really bugs me about Alana and Danielle is that I feel like I know them, or had met them sometime before. I'm sure it is that they just remind me of a few of my friends, but having a memory like Swiss cheese doesn't help.

I am so glad Alana, and her sing-songy baby voice, are gone. She was right, she was a marked woman since day one. Not even picked and then says the blue team was weaker and then assigned to said team. Not a good combo. Then she claims to be a comic book nerd (Batman mostly) and gets almost all the questions wrong (and the Batman one too), and then bitches that they asked about eras she wasn't familiar with, after wasting her study time. Good riddance.

I was also shocked the drama was gone so quick. Nothing helps more than winning, so I can expect their next nerd war to drum up the backstabbing.

I think she just liked the character of Batman and not really much of a devoted comics reader.

I might've known a Danielle when I was in college (there were certainly some pink-haired girls). I wouldn't have paid attention to people like Alana back then.

Alana was proud of getting those fantasy trivia questions right a few weeks ago, too. How odd.

Anyways, a video for those who just can't get enough of the flirty Alana:

Wow, I'm sure her husband (who she mentioned this episode) will be THRILLED to see that.

I get the feeling Jeff Probst went out of his way to keep this from being a "quit" so that they could leave the door open to a Brandon Hantz return eventually. I fully expect Russell on Season 27 or 28 to try and redeem the Hantz name.
