Even Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong get into it as a samurai, and a geisha, respectively. I've seen so much cosplay the past few years that Curtis doesn't bother me.
Both teams are going to be judged for best costumes and how well they represented their theme. Ivan's team is a group of fantasy villains, the Servants of the Forsaken Orb. Genevieve's team is the sci-fi heroes, Blextrophy (Blue + Extropy).
As a group, Blextrophy were obviously a mess. Their mission is something about cosplayers. It's so meta that it's doomed not to impress the judges.
The Judges are Adam Bush, George Takei, and Yaya Han. Two of the losing team will face off in an odd Nerd-Off trivia/bowling challenge. The bowling portion will be performed with giant D&D-style dice.

Judges pick Orange/Servants. Jon and Alana are voted in by Orange & Blue, respectively, for the Nerd-Off. Although Orange seriously considered voting Genevieve.
Alana defeats Jon, 1900-1800.
Rolls:
Jon (900 + 700 + 0 + 200)
Alana (100 + 200 + 1300 + 300)
Turning point: Jon missed the third question about the amount of books in the Narnia series. Alana then gets an incredibly lucky roll knocking down the Black Knight among others. Both get the final question right, but Jon couldn’t get knock down that one gnome.
Jon "rocks" his way out of King of the Nerds.
I imagined some viewers are crying "rigged!" at the Nerd-Off. It was also convenient the cosplay competition could play into one team leader's strengths. But Blue could've still made a more compelling presentation.
That losing team is a MESS and I think they're going to lose so many people in future, they will be forced to move people from orange like they sometimes have to do in Hell's Kitchen.

I get that impression. If Orange wins the next Nerd War then they'll probably nominate the Blue nerd least flustered by heel Virgil, even if it's Genevieve.
Then again, it's all in whether the next Nerd War will somehow favor Genevieve.
