| #1 Posted on 24.9.07 2236.47 | Instant Rating: 9.00 | And I'd be remiss if I passed over FOX's bastard child of the Sunday lineup...which is usually what FOX does. But I...
At least with this one you knew straight away it was a holdover from the earlier run of episodes, but nonetheless I thought this was an especially strong outing - I think that's because I'm biased towards Hank/Bobby plotlines without all the extraneous folks (a little Lucky went a long way for me least season - I'm probably in the minority on that opinion, though) - and all the Texas/Nebraska stuff resonated with me even though I haven't been interested in college football that kind of way....ever.
"King" is probably going to be bounced around until football's over (par for the course), but it was nice to see it in a cushy slot for at least one Sunday night. I hope the ratings were there!

I enjoyed the season premiere, and I'm hoping for more father-son bonding episodes this season. | BoromirMark

I've always liked King of the Hill and I hope Fox's "bad parenting" doesn't keep them from having a good run. This episode was par for the course on why the show is so good. My favorite part was Dale and Boomhauer and Bill watching the game on a flatscreen inside the luxury box. I know a couple people who'd do the same, heh. | MisterHenderson

Yeah, it should, but we don't live in Shouldland! Ah, Shouldland, where clean-cut kids cruise Shouldland Boulevard, and the Shouldland High football team gets their optimistic asses kicked by their crosstown rival, Reality Check Tech. | Alex

It's absolutely incredible how good the show is after all this time with no drop in quality over the years. Even The Simpsons at this point was showing its wear. I really don't know if we've seen anything else like it.

Its not American Dad that you have to worry about its the hour-long Sarah Connor Chronicles thats pushing King of the Hill back to the 7PM hour come January. American Dad is heading there as well.

It's alright though, King of the Hill has thrived more in syndication than in its first-running anyway. |
