Word up sister...um..yo?

I all ready gushed over the show in the main board, but here I would like to share my dilemma with you gals. For a long while I have been declaring my undying love for Shane Mac. But after last night's inspired performance I'm torn! Who do I love more now? Spanky or Shane? Oh, I'm so conflicted!

Hey Toast, the answer's simple! If you can't decide, just do what I do and take them both. You can have Spanky one day of the week, then Shane the next. I'm balancing HHH, Y2J, Randy Orton, AND Spanky at the moment. And if you ask me how I do it, let's just say it involves taking turns, mwahahahaha.....

Wait a second...Shane was on Smackdown?! Oh damn it all. George Bush made some speech, so I didn't get to see most of Smackdown. But I did get to see Spanky...too cute...

Fear not -- Shane wasn't on -- Toast Jr is just having an abstract philosophical dilemma.

Juggling several of them is the only way to go. Since they split the rosters, I'd say its almost mandatory to have at least one fave / lust-interest per show. And since your favouritest is rarely even on TV these days, I don't see the conflict.

We were a little light on actual wrestling, which is odd for Smackdown. I missed the first 18 minutes, so didn't get to see Mattitude vs Los Guerreros. Benoit/Rhyno vs. FBI was fine, although Benoit seemed to be carrying quite a bit of Johnny & Chuckie. Team Angle squashing jobbers & Big Show squashing Funaki pretty much don't count. And whatever the women were doing out there definitely didn't count as wrestling. (Or as entertainment either, actually.) That aspect was a little disappointing.

However, for a wrestling-lite show, the entertainment value was pretty fun.

Spanky was hilarious with Cena, but I hope its not his new regular gimmick. He's so much fun that I don't want him locked into just one gimmick, 'specially when its a spinoff on somebody else's thing. Yo. I'm not sure whether I was laughing more at Spanky or at Brian Hebner -- where did that come from?!? There was also Tazz in the background, apparently being embarrassed by Cole participating in the callbacks.

The Kurt video was golden. Steph throughout trying to figure out how to do damage control with daddy was excellent. I knew Chavito was doing something when he hung back to tie his shoe while Eddie took the belts into the ring.

Brock did a fine promo. I think some of the nice, goody-goody, farm boy things are very deliberate, & it works for me. "Cudos to John Cena -- he gave me one hell of a fight." His momma should be proud of such good sportsmanship. "You can bully whoever you want, but I'm not standing for it." You tell him, Brock! "Bring that big, giant, slobbery ass down here". I fell off the sofa.

The entire Piper's Pit & Mr. America segment was hilarious. I love the way the mask so perfectly frames the mustache. Cole & Tazz discussing the whole thing were killer. ("He resembles somebody?" "D'ya think?" "Looks like he spent some time at the beach." "Venice Beach maybe.") The crowd wanting to chant "Ho-gan", but not entirely sure what they were supposed to chant. The vehement denial that he's not Hogan. The "American Maniacs" & "the 24 inch Patriots". Vince quivering with rage. Even Roddy & Sean were doing a good job listening actively & reacting. The whole thing was excellent.

Other than the women's debacle, this was a really entertaining show! Ummm ... word?

Sorry about the delay, but as you know there was a ton of preemptions for this week's Smackdown. It did air last night here in Philly, and I decided to just see the Eddie Guererro lovefest. Wow.
