I feel bad starting this thread, and hate TMZ as a source but:

WWE star Kia Stevens did not deliver a healthy baby boy on December 31st, despite what she told friends. Kia tells TMZ the child tragically died before she was able to give birth.

Kia tells us she is still devastated over the loss ... and initially lied to friends about the child being "healthy" because she was incredibly emotional and was afraid to tell the public the truth after announcing her pregnancy on live TV.

Kia says she's finally coming to grips with everything ... and wants to help other women in her situation.

"I am planning to start a foundation for women that have experienced the same thing" ... Kia says ... adding, "It's a bigger club than people think."

Kia tells us she's already organizing several events to raise awareness ... and will have information about her foundation available on her Twitter page in the near future.

Terrible news for her and a little too close for home right now. I wish her well.

That really sucks. I hope she can bring about some good from this tragic loss.

Yeah, just never even mention it again. Just put her against Beth at Mania for the dream match we all wanted a few years ago when she was in TNA. Give her a big payday and push her like a monster, don't try to use this as an angle to build sympathy for a character who does not need it.

Or even worse, use it to build heat for a heel who does not have it.

This makes her return at the Rumble that much more remarkable for me. I'm amazed she was in any kind of state of mind to compete so soon after a major trauma.

I'm glad they gave her the spot to dump Cole and then take a quick exit. Returning to the ring will help promote her efforts to start a foundation, but I hope she's able to determine when she's fully ready to get back on the road.

I'd like to think they won't make an angle out of this, but considering some of the tasteless things we've seen over the years I'm not holding my breath.

Then again, maybe they did the Cole spot in the Rumble with this in mind, that they wanted to do something special for her.

I think that match was called off once WWE found out the truth. Not as any kind of punishment, but because she's had psychological problems before and she needs to make sure she's in a good place mentally and emotionally before she starts working again.

I wonder if they even knew about the miscarriage at that point in time. She could very well have been telling WWE the same story she told everyone else.

I dunno. After a loss like that, if you want to do something special for her, wouldn't you have her throw out a big name? Like, I'd have her eliminate Jericho or Henry or someone, not the biggest annoyance on TV right now. (and technically, she didn't eliminate him, Booker and Lawler did)

Either way, I don't want her back until she's mentally ready to be back, and if that means no Beth v. Kharma at WM, hey, sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Praying for you, Kia.

I'm Charlie Owens, good night, and good luck.

this is a discussion of which Royal Rumble elimination is the proper gift for a woman who recently miscarried

Sad news. It felt too early when she showed up at the Rumble. Also makes since why she didn't go after the Bellas now. I'm sure they'll get as far away from that angle as possible now...won't they?

I'd love to say: 'Yes, absolutely. WWE has enough common sense to leave it alone.', but I've just had a flashback to Randy Orton coming out and telling Rey Mysterio that Eddie Guerrero was now in Hell.

Well, the difference is that the audience was invested in Eddie as a character.

Meaning...if the WWE saw money in exploiting this terrible situation, I wouldn't put it past them. But I don't think they'll see money in it.

The political and public image that the company craves has also shiftly massively since the Eddie exploitation.

To be fair, we don't know the extent that all parties were on board with both situations. Exploitation derives the connotation that it was somehow forced.

Regardless, all thoughts to Kia/Kharma.

I sincerely doubt that WWE will make anything more out of this, angle wise.

That's truly heartbreaking, I couldn't imagine going through that. I miss Kharma/Awesome Kong on my tv, but I only want her to come back when she feels she is ready.

Damn, I forgot to mention Lauren no longer being a disembodied voice. I'm sure she'll grow into competency as a ring announcer over the next ten years. By the end of her decade run Lillian was the best ring announcer in the business, right? Right?!...
