I don't get it. He wasn't fired. He got hurt. It wasn't his "day off." He was scheduled to be there.

Nash was injured first. Kane's last match was on April 8, which means he was injured after that. April 8 was also the night Ric Flair suspended Nash, which means Nash was already injured by that time.

man, Nash is having some bad luck or whatever you wanna call it. Someone should do a background check, you never know he could be a long lost member of the Hart family.

Not to hate, but why can't we have one damn post page where the Hart's ARENT'T mentioned? I mean, I respect Bret and his dad and all they've accomplished, but COME ON. The Hart's got nothin' to do with Nash.

For Christ's sake role out of the fucking ring. If it is the same injury than seeing Triple H finish his match impresses me a lot more now.

That Triple H/ Nash wheelchair feud should draw, no?

eh, i'm not buying it just yet. i bet he'll wheel on down to the ring at some point in the near future and pop out of the chair to swerve us all and make some babyface take a pinfall.

the only thing i'm basing my doubt on is that, to me, the whole thing came off like one of those stupid "worked shoot" angles of WCW's dying days. it's the frickin' NWO to boot, "masters" of the swerve. it's certainly possible that he suffered a real injury, but the whole thing went down pretty much exactly like hunter's and that makes me suspicious. plus, we've seen a couple of legit injuries on live tv - i don't recall ever seeing the ref give a "this is REAL~!" hand signal before. they even showed nash being carried up the ramp just like the slow-mo photage of hunter after his quad tear.

it could be real, but all the similarities make me suspicious.

I was going to tape the match because I was expecting Kevin Nash to give me a good laugh with his poor wrestling. He stood on the apron for 15 minutes and hurt himself after getting in one move! I was laughing hysterically because it looked like Nash was faking an injury. The first thing that popped into my head was, "look at this asshole pretending to be hurt!" I need to see a replay of it, because I really thought he was faking an injury.

Frankly, I thought he looked a little tender on the leg walking into the ring. I knew it was real just from the screaming he was doing, which was very intense. I feel bad for the guy. That's just plain horrible luck. It's certainly not karma, which would be a relatively equal payback for the injustices he causes, but a potential career ending injury, months of rehab and the intense pain tearing your quad entails would probably exceed that karma quotient by a fair bit. Which would mean he'd have to come back and win another world title to balance the scales totally (and thus piss off the smarks of the world again :P)

I admit to laughing briefly at the injury, but only because of the image I got in my head: that of some smark, out there some where, sitting at home with a voodoo doll yelling, "GOTCHA! GOTCHA!"

If it was fake than Nash is incredibly flexible, that's all I know. I've watched it at least five times, trying to tell exactly what happened, he basically overstepped when he went over Booker.

Also, I don't think they could stage how completely off those guys were after the injury, these guys are good, but they're not that good.

Throw in the lack of any mention of it on the WWE.com headlines page and I see absolutely 0% chance of a work.

Isn't it sad that we've become so skeptical and cynical that a guy blows his knee out and we don't buy it?

I dunno.... i mean a lot of people wish nash hadn't come back but to be happy he is out of action due to an injury? I mean i may not like some of my coworkers... but do i wish they would get seriously hurt so i dont have to work with them? No. He had some bad luck. Shame it had to happen his first match back.

I've torn myself apart.... and tried to figure out why... but the only answer i was ever given... that really fits..... is the fact... that women are crazy.

Sort of, but at the same time, it's a worked business and we're used to writing off what we see as a `performance'. When something happens that's not quite consistent with that performance nature of the product, we often have trouble letting go.
If it's a work, then it's been done well enough for all of us to be yakking about it. Injury angles are a staple in sports entertainment. I'd rather it be a work than see a guy hurt, especially when he's at the top of the card.

On the other hand, I think it's sick that there are people who are happy about it. Kevin Nash may not be my favorite wrestler in the world, but I don't wish personal injury or pain on him.

Revelling in the misfortune and pain of another person because he, ``held people down,'' or ``ruined a great angle in WCW,'' is such total unbelievable bullshit I can't believe I'm even allowing myself to respond to it. Anyone who expresses happiness is essentially saying, ``Nash is responsible for spoiling my entertainment; for that he deserves severe pain.''

If that attitude seems normal to you, why are you posting here and not at your local hospital laughing at the crippled and the infirm? You don't even have to wait for Smackdown that way...

oh, no, a finish was changed!!! LYNCH HIM!!!! come on, its a wrestling show. because he changed finishes and/or complained a bit, he deserves to have his leg blown out? so i guess Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and the Undertaker deserve serious injury as well?

No, Kevin Nash deserved it for all the crap he and Kliq buddies have put this business through over the years. I don't need to recite them for you as you can easily find out for yourself. I have no smpathy for Nash because he put in a shitty effort for years and finally found out the hard way that he can not do it anymore. I am not pissed at him for changing the finish in a match that I didn't care about in the first place.

And to the guy who called me a loser, wow, what wit you got there pal. I am impressed (not much of a flame, and quite frankly your apology is a crock so its not accepted). Yeah, he got hurt, alright. I call it karma, and I am more then over it. In fact, I think it's the best thing to happen to WWE all year as now maybe we can get new stars built up for a change instead of having more guys like Nash shoved down our throats.

Seriously, why should I feel bad that he got injured? What has he done in the last few years to help anyone in this business besides himself? And what did WWE really lose? This isn't Triple H going on the shelf or The Rock going off to make movies. Those two are (or were in Trips case) legitimite stars who put on entertaining matches and drew money for the company. Nash is a waste of roster space in a federation full of more talented and over people who deserve the spot that he was hogging.

Nash should've retired years ago, and shouldn't have been brought back to WWE in the first place. He should just call it a career before he hurts himself anymore.

And for those who think I am evil for this, keep in mind that I didn't feel the same way when Trips got injured in May 2001. I did feel bad for him and hopped that he would make a good recovery and I respected his guts to finish the match too. Take that for what it's worth.

If that was Nash's last match then too bad. I think I knew it was bad when Bubba broke kayfabe and was checking on Nash.

It's a shame cause today is Nash's birthday.

Nash may or not be on roids. Injuries to me in sports (I've never had anything seriously) always are like this: In football I could be getting double teamed by two 300 pounds monsters and get squashed and be fine, and then I could practice proper punching technique for pass blocking on a dummy and pull a muscle. But onto Nash, it does suck he's in a lot of pain. I think NWO has basically run its course in the WWE (as opposed to WCW where it ran its course 3 years ago). Let Booker T and Goldust take out the NWO once and for all.

I flipped across this last night, on ESPN Classic I think. It was the two "brother" comedians that show up on a lot of the VH1 clip shows. They were giving an old Mid-South show the MST3K treatment...poorly in my opinion.
