If this injury is real and serious enough to keep him out of action for at least a month (fairly big assuptions), doesn't it ironically add even more suspense to the deal with triple H? I mean I know no one wants to see Nash seriously injured, but you must admit that it means even more now if triple H decides to join the nWo, or if he turns them down. Before the injury, Nash was set to be a big force to face Booker T, probably in a number of matches in a large feud. Now with him injured and out again, they can go back to Booker vs the Big Show for another month which has the real possibility of going stale, or bringing in triple H to liven up the feud.

Again, I'm not happy about anyone getting injured, but if it is serious, it will be interesting to see how they handle the storyline.

I think it will be Booker and Goldust vs Benoit and Eddy at the PPV, if nothing comes up for Booker.

When he first went down, I thought they were going to pull him from the match and make it a four-on-four, but when I figured out it was for real... I mean, holy shit, he barely worked enough to get the bicep injury, then he rolls his knee? Sure, there's something to be said for bad luck, but when you get injured after just about every match you're in, I think it kind of speaks to the fact that you just shouldn't be in there.

And I mean, Nash is no saint, and that karma thing WILL bite you in the ass every time. He thought it was so great that he didn't have to work for about a year after WCW shut down, but the case of ring rust he's got ain't shaking off that easy.

The injury was obviously real, which sucks. It might not be too bad though. It looked like he was putting some weight on it going up the ramp. Maybe he just twisted it.

If Nash is out I don't know what to do with Booker. Hell, I think this could effect HHH also. Nash did say that if HHH didn't join he would do to him what he did to Booker. (Kick him in the face i guess. haha) Hopefully Nash is o.k. though.

A fitting end? Some of you cool smarks need to get real once in a while and stop crying. It's backstage wrestling politics. Yeah it seems important when you do all this smark talk, but then again, it's backstage wrestling politics. Some of you base everything in wrestling around all this insider backstage rumor crap.

You want Nash to get injured because he held back some other guy who makes at least half a million dollars and doesn't give a crap about you personally.

Doesn't make any sense.

Word is that it's a torn Quad, and he'll be out at least as long as HHH, if not for good, at his age.

Nothing to gloat over. The last thing WWE needed now was a potential main eventer going down.

On top of that, with Nash gone, and if HHH joins, then the NWO will really just be DX 2002, with Big Show in the "big person who doesn't look feminine" role.

Nash's website says it's a torn quad and will require surgery. No word on how long out or even if he'll return yet, but it's definitely good that it's his quad. While that could take a couple months, it won't have nearly the long-term (though one could argue that the remainder of Nash's career isn't long term even if he's healthy) effects that yet another knee injury would.

Ok now of the current FOUR members of NWO, which of the fouar are now active wrestlers? Two I think. Now out of the 4, which of them is a good wrestler...And yes its a rhetorical question.

Look, I don't wish injury on anybody, but the last thing I want to see is Kevin Nash wrestling another match at this point. He has sucked since 1998 ever since he stopped putting in a good effort and just wanted to collect a paycheck from Turner. He lost his ability to put on a good match because he stopped trying when he still had it in him.

He is one of the reasons Vince McMahon was able to buy WCW, because AOL/Turner/TimeWarner got so embarrassed by how much money they were costing their empire that they sold it to whomever was willing to buy it (it was originally supposed to be Bischoff and a bunch of $ backers, but they pulled out once Nitro and Thunder were cancelled) , which was Vince McMahon.

Kevin Nash helped cause that with his crappy main event matches and with his World Title reigns and his stupid angles that he booked and with his backstage politiking. He kept doing it even while WCW was months away from being sold and going under. He didn't care what happened to the company and its employees as long as he got paid.

Once he was brought back in WWE with Hall and Hogan as the nWo poison, nothing looked like it changed. Once he wrestled his first match back, it seemed like we were in for the same old Nash we got in WCW for years. A crappy wrestler who is taking up space on a crowded roster full of more talented and more over guys and girls and was getting pushed ahead of all them just because of his "name value".

Seriously, why is this guy still in such a top spot? He cost the company a ton of money with his World Title reign and with the Kliq's backstage politics in 1995, and was one of the men who killed WCW. He only started drawing money as part of a group that was supposedly "invading WCW" from the WWF that would later call themselves nWo because Vince threatened a lawsuit. I mean that is impressive enough, but Billy Gunn was also a part of DX.

Does that mean he still deserves to get pushed? I don't think so.

The truth is, if the guy can no longer run across the ring without getting a serious quad injury, then it's time to do what DDP had the class to do and RETIRE. Seriously, what does Nash have anything good to offer WWE? Why is he going on the shelf a "bad thing"?

It's bad for him, but I love it actually.

Maybe now Vince can get cut his losses and end this nWo crap once and for all. It's so 1996 and doesn't work anymore. He had the chance to give it one last run with the poison angle and he blew it. It's now sucking the heat away from Booker T and Goldust that they earned with great microphone work and decent work in the ring.

This guy and X-Pac reportedly went to Vince and had the finish to that tag match on RAW a few weeks ago with Booker/Goldust vs. X-Pac/Show the night after KOTR changed. It was supposed to be Booker going over X-Pac clean, but they worked Vince into changing it to the more over team doing the job clean.

If that is true, then I don't feel sorry for Nash, and I think he got what he deserved.

Fact: Nash was head booker for WCW for a while.

Fact: He put himself over the hottest babyface in the company's history, killing his momentum.

I find it amusing and entertaining that while still being a bit tubby, Nash has now had TWO steroid injuries. (Torn bicep, Torn quad).

Hang it up, Kev. Before somebody gives you a chance to have a worse run than your first WWF run.

First, Kane tears his elbow, and Nash copies the injury.

Now, he tears his quad? Why can I see him and HHH talking before the show?

"I just stepped down hard, and *bang*, it went out. Why do you ask, Kev?"

"No reason..."

(and no I didn't wish for him to get hurt and no I don't *believe* that it was intentional but coincidence is coincidence...)

Goldberg was the hottest face in company history? That's a pretty rich history you're talking about there. Does Sting know this? How about late 1980's Luger?

FACT: You are just another fool assuming steroids were involved with no reason to even suspect it.

oh, no, a finish was changed!!! LYNCH HIM!!!! come on, its a wrestling show. because he changed finishes and/or complained a bit, he deserves to have his leg blown out? so i guess Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and the Undertaker deserve serious injury as well?

Loser.

Really, do you work for RAW? Reportedly means we'll never know and it's probably not true.

There was an interesting thing on all the wrestling websites a while back when Vince was asked about Angle's performance on a certain show and Vince said something to the effect of he wasn't too pleased with it. Well, lo and behold it built up and built up and like the proverbial snowball down a hill, once it made it to the websites it was "Vince to fire Kurt!" etc, etc.

Get over it. The guy got hurt. Anyone of us could do the same thing on our way to the fridge to get food. As for people loving it. Wow, you really DO have no life. Sorry to flame ya' but that comment deserves it.

I am not about to be happy a man is injured. Anyone smiling or talking about karma in regards to this is a poor excuse for a human being. But letís be honest here. I just injured my knee a few months ago doing nothing...I just sort of slipped back and all of a sudden my kneecap was pointing the wrong way. It hurt like I couldn't believe. So I feel for Nash. Nonetheless, it is embarrassing to me as a fan when a guy like that is so obviously unfit to perform in the ring that he canít do two moves without being hurt. How did he injure his bicep in the first place? What does he do that requires the overextension of that muscle? Iíll answer that later, I have some medical knowledge in this field. But speaking from an artistic standpoint, to say he sucks is an understatement. Heís downright horrible and was never good. And thatís not even the point here. The point is the quality of this manís life.
It is a fact is that men (or for that matter women) of remarkable size do not have a good quality of life after 40. Ever notice why you never see any seven foot sixty year olds walking around? Well see thatís because theyíre for the most part in wheelchairs. When youíve been carrying all that weight around on your knee joints and ligaments for three decades, and youíve been that huge for that long, your body gets to a point where it canít handle the strain. Nash is in the beginning stages of reaching that point, and no matter what muscle he puts on he isnít going to be able to work for extended periods of time without risk of injury. I am not speaking out of my ass on this, I have worked in homes for the aged as a volunteer and most of the older men who were once six-ten hadnít been able to walk since their fifties. I asked doctors about it and they told me then what Iím telling you now. I was worried about Hulkís quality of life, but Jesus! It speaks to this point that Lou Thesz was less brittle wrestling in his seventies than Nash is now in his forties. He simply MUST hang it up, Iím sorry, but I donít want to see any more harm come to him. Say what you will about Hogan, and Flair, and Macho and any other guy who went out there in his twilight years, NONE of them have exhibited signs of such raucous, offensive fragility as we saw tonight.

This doesn't really make much of a difference, but Nash wasn't supposed to work tonight. He was supposed to return to the ring at a house show on Friday. He showed up to the arena today and was told he was working, had to have his gear shipped up from his house. No excuse for the injury, he had plenty of time to loosen up and such, but talk about REALLY bad luck. Not only did he trip over Booker and tear a quad (don't see how that couldn't have happened to anyone. Randy Orton, youngster, could have tripped over Booker and tore his quad just as easily as Nash), but he did it on a night when he wasn't even supposed to be working.

This is another example of the WWE bringing back an injured star with no buildup. They did it with Benoit last week and now they did it with Nash. Smarks may hang me for putting Benoit and Nash on an even pedestal, but this is a case where each return could have been built up to possibly create some interest. Instead, the returns were hotshotted for what'll probably be a low-rated telecast.

And that's the bottom line, because it's false! It's DAMN false!
