I really don't think its true considering the prevalent role he's played in recent weeks. Are we getting worked? On a side note, or last I heard, he did have "Legends Contract". So...

Can anyone recall any of these ever NOT being legit?
Clearly there was something in his physical that we still haven't learned about (unless it was the fact that he's 52 - I've been making people aware of that for weeks on Twitter) and it will probably take a well-placed leak to Dave or Wade for us to learn what it was, if we ever do.
I have no problem flushing Nash at this stage. This guy is a freaking joke. The only shame is that Punk never got to get to him physically, but maybe that was part of why Nash is out of work. I'm sure he really wasn't okay with being shown up and assaulted on the mic every night no matter what they were paying him.
Don't go on limo rides with Johnny Ace.
... and for no reason
Quote #230
"It was apparent within five minutes that we can add color commentator to the list of things (wrestling, doing interviews and booking) that Kevin Nash can't handle. He started by saying that everyone said he was a bad booker but he was smart enough to book himself into a retirement angle so he doesn't have to take any bumps and still makes big money. He spent the rest of his show doing his 'I'm too cool for wrestling' gimmick, which would work if he was funny. Nash spent the rest of the show mocking Tenay's call of Duggan's finisher as the 'old glory' by calling Misterio's move an 'old glory huricanrana' and the like so many times that Tenay even told Nash he wore the joke out. Nash continued with the line the rest of the show" - The Wrestling Observer Newsletter: September 25, 1999
Quote #103 "WCW is coming out with Goldberg, Hogan, Savage and Sting Air Fresheners. And Nash. The company that is marketing them wanted the first four. WCW begged them to include Nash." - The Wrestling Observer Newsletter: May 10, 1999
Hopefully he really is gone and CM Punk's angle gets back to being good. When I first heard Nash interfered at Summerslam I thought it was dumb, but hey maybe they've got a plan. As we saw in the past few weeks, not so much, or at least if there was a plan it was a really, really shitty one. Kevin Nash has no business in a modern day wrestling company as somebody to be viewed as physically intimidating. He'd be fine as a manager for some mid-carders, but he's doesn't have the look or the quick wit to be mixing it up in the main event.
I really is ridiculous how much the CM Punk angle has been fumbled since the Money in the Bank PPV and especially since Summerslam. I understand there are politics involved and maybe there is some long term plan that hasn't yet been made clear to the viewers, but it is seriously amazing to me that CM Punk vs Cena/Vince turned into HHH vs Nash with CM Punk acting like a whiny little bitch on the side.

@RealKevinNash Kevin Nash To set the record straight, I passed physical w/ flying colors. Cardiologist was amazed at my lipid profile. Couldn't reach financial terms.
@RealKevinNash Kevin Nash I will not be addressing this matter again. I am moving forward with my life. Cena, it was great having the chance to get to know you.
Re: the first Tweet, funny how a week ago on RAW he bragged to Triple H that he signed a guaranteed contract.

If this is true, then it is a total TNA move on WWE's part. Not that I care if Nash is legit gone, but they are usually good about making sure the talent is in place before throwing out an angle with them. Especially in main events.

This is where things seem fishy. Didn't he sign a legends contract when he came back at the Rumble? I would assume that would include a per appearance fee, because I couldn't see them negotiating every time they wanted to bring back a legend. Maybe he wanted more money or maybe they were working on signing him as a wrestler. Regardless something still seems off.
Admitting to a health problem might cause himself and other promoters trouble for all the indy shows he seems to be working. And working all those indy shows would seem to suggest there's no offer that he could afford to be turning down.
The whole trademarking of "future endeavored" and related terms makes me feel this may be a work (although the history of these releases on WWE.com says otherwise).
Wait, stop everything. Following a link on that infamous firings article, I have just learned that Jim Ross also has his own brand of sweet and sour mustard AND chipotle ketchup. When the hell did that come about?

And from what I've heard (mostly his Twitter account, which I un-followed because his homespun bullshit was getting annoying) , it is some of the best stuff on earth. He has a BBQ Starter pack which I may get at some point in time.

Only if you see Nash showing up on other promos would this prove to be legit. But since it was on TV, it's a storyline. Nash is going to show up at Night of Champions and help HHH win the match (since it's no DQ)
The thing is, this undermines to me what Punk says in the future because you can't trust if he is telling the truth or not.
My Spidey Sense is tingling. I smell a work, because why bother to insert the scene with Johnny Ace getting into the limo if isn't leading to anything? The post-break scene of Nash riding off into the sunset feels like a dead giveaway. If this was legit, I'd think Nash would get a more unceremonious write-off and they'd make Triple H laying him out the last scene we have of him.
It's should be unfortunately all too easy to believe that RAW was written without anybody yet knowing whether Nash would be released or not. That this thread was started Wednesday instead of Tuesday should be another clue. Nash's tweets iced it. This isn't a work.
WWE'll either forget the backstage limo segment ever happened, or use it to advance the Laurianitis (ha) "character." Oh, wait...MAYBE Punk will get to allude to Nash one last time during a "pipe bomb" to appease the smarks (because he's not allowed to mention Colt Cabana and Festus Dalton anymore) and get him trending worldwide on Twitter one last time.
