Not sure if anyone outside of Boston is aware of this, but apparently a teenage Kevin Millar doing his best Springsteen impression is the talk of the town. It's become the 2003 Rally Monkey on the scoreboards at Fenway.
"We have to fight back. But we can't fight like they do. The Right's entertainment value comes from their willingness to lie and distort. Ours will have to come from being funny and attractive." -Al Franken
I saw this on the scoreboard while sitting in right field in Fenway last Saturday. Hilarious. Too bad the eighth inning rally fell short. Very appropriate with Millar having a good year and Springsteen coming to town. Sure beats the stupid monkey.
I don't see why Nomar can't play first - he did a capable job filling in at third for the Cubs last year. And I'm guessing that the .320 lifetime average is the reason teams were flocking to pick him up.
