He'll be on tonight's show. I don't really know how much these things really impact the election but all I heard four years ago was "Bush is funny" and "Gore is boring" from fringe voters.

Also, Bush provided the classic moment on Letterman when he invaded a woman's space during the commercial break to wipe his glasses on her dress.

I'm just interested to see what direction Letterman takes. I suspect he'll just throw softballs but sometimes he does manage to extract some good stuff from politicians.

Classic Rock
"Remember the commercial, that Indian had the tear in his eye for pollution? He wasn't crying for pollution, you took his land and ****ed his wife! I don't think he was crying cause there was a ****ing can on the ground ... You can **** my wife but that can's gotta go!"

"I used to work making minimum wage came up to about $200 a week and then they'd take out $50 in taxes ... Fifty dollars a week in taxes? What do I get for my tax money? All the free street light in the world! Yeah, as far as I'm concerned you can give everybody a candle and give me my ****ing fifty dollars back!"

Dave's a tougher interviewer than people think. He'll ask the hard questions - although he won't ask the hard follow-up questions. Still, it'll be a decent interview for a late night comedy show.

OFB-

If this is what you expect from Dave, I take it you missed the Late Night where he had Hillary on...

If my memory serves me right, he is pro-Kerry.

Yeah. Dave's funny, but he's pretty left of center, politically speaking. He'll softball him and toss him some easy ones.

Now, is it ok for me yell THEATRE! in a crowded fire?

I think Kerry did an amazing job tonight. He was smart, he was concise, and best of all he was funny. That's a side of Kerry that I don't think many people have seen before, and it's something that can only help him.

Best line: "George Bush will sit in Dick Cheney's lap."
