As could be said many times in the last year, the New Orleans Times-Picayune has a great article about Katrina - this one with stories of people who lived thru the storm, and people who didn't. You'll want to read all the way thru the epliogue.

Glad things are getting better. But, more communities that just new orleans were destroyed. Frankly, I am getting sick of hearing about how new orleans is doing, because every other community that ISNT new orleans gets forgotten.

Well I can tell you the Mississippi gulf coast is coming back at a faster pace. The Casinos reopen this week and the beaches have been open all summer. I'll be honest they have their act together.

Back to New Orleans and the surrounding parishes of coarse their will be attention toward us with our questionable levees and being below sea level.

I know, I know, there's another election in the way first. Win or lose in 2004, however, the GOP still have to come up with someone new in 2008, and lord knows it won't be Dick Cheney. Anyone new on the horizon?
