as predicted, kane won the battle royal. Now the proplem is, as many people have said before, kane's character has been killed 1,000 times over. He is coming off of two PPV losses, and is currently in a fued with matt fucking hardy. Meaning he is in the midcard. And unless a miracle occurs, Kane is going to be fed to chris benoit. This is all fine and well for chris benoit, but Kane has to lose to someone who is a good 10 inches shorter and 100 pounds lighter. And this guy is supposed to be a MONSTER!! My point is, they are planning on sticking the nail in kane's coffin. WHAT THE HELL IS CREATIVE/VINCE DOING???
At this point, I wouldn't bitch all that much if Kane got shit-kicked by... I don't know... Garrison Cade. That's how much WWE has made me not care about Kane.
On the other hand, I'm a little upset that Kane gets a shot at Benoit after a one-sided feud with Matt Hardy. Matt's role was very promising tonight until he started getting his butt kicked. Jeez, enough of that, already... can't you let Matt get at least a moral victory in this whole thing?
I'm less concerned about Kane's future direction than I am about Matt's future direction. I've kind of taken a liking to Matt recently. In a completely heterosexual way, of course.

I know what you're saying about not caring if Kane got his ass beat by Garrison Cade. The thing is, he's so low on the Raw totem pole right now, how can he be accepted by the fans as a more viable title contender right now than.......dare i say it.........JBL?
Kane is a former WWF Champion. He's beaten The Rock. He's beaten the Undertaker. He's beaten Stone Cold. He's beaten Triple H. He can actually wrestle. He has a cool angry mystique. He's actually intimidating.
How do you make Kane a viable contender? Just give him a title shot and feed some midcarders to him and you're set.

I think Kane was presented tonight as a monster, like he should have been all along. Tonight he looked like a credible contender. I would have been happier if HBK had superkicked HHH and then Kane threw him out instead of HBK doing the throwing. But hey, I guess they really want to push the HITC match.
Kane is way more credible then JBL. Hell, Rosie is more credible that JBL. Give Kane a few creepy vignettes and absolutely killing people in the next weeks and he will be ready. No matter low WE think he is, the average PPV buyer thinks he is still a monster. Did you hear those pops everytime he got in position for the chokeslam? I think you guys are underestimating what the average fan thinks of Kane.

Freeway, I see your point. And maybe this is irrelavent, but you said kane has beaten the undertaker, and i dont remember that happening. Because as I recall, the undertaker won every match he ever had against Kane, as far as one-n-one matches.

I'm fairly certain that Kane has pinned all four of them throughout the course of RAWs. I'm too damned lazy to find out exactly when, but it's probably happened.
And a great thing that the WWE has done lately is building up Batista & Kane seperately as monsters. Good work.

Am I the only one who doesn't think that Kane has a shot in hell of actually keeping his title show. I figure next week Triple H will bitch and complain to Eric that Michaels cost him the match when he was supposed to be suspended, thus causing Bischoff to order some sort of rematch between Kane and Triple H, or maybe the last four guys involved or something? Who knows, maybe they do something like it's Orton, Triple H, Kane and Benjamin, and Orton ends up knocking Triple H out at the end. In any case, for whatever reason that I can't explain other than just saying it's "my gut" I see absolutely no way that Kane will keep his title shot.
You're making reference to a match that he interfered in. I don't consider that putting him over 'taker, I consider that a prelude to him getting squashed by 'taker at wrestlemania. And that brings up another point. Back when they had their first match in wrestlemania 14, kane kicked out of two tombstones, and if anyone remembers, he kicked out of the third one too, just not in time. he proceded to beat 'taker down after the match. that was when he was doing things like beating stone cold and triple h.
In their match at WMXX, one tombstone finished him easily. that is now, when he is beating the likes of val venis and matt hardy.
So yea, he beat austin and trips, but that was a whole different kane than the version we have today.
Damn i'm slow at typing. this was intended as a reply to Geemoney's didnt kane bury taker alive comment.
Kane is one of only a few people in the business you can have lose for months and months and then have him squash a few guys in consecutive weeks and he'll be a main event monster all over again. It's his history (his unstoppable nature esp the first two years of his career) and his size/agility that will always automatically put Kane right back at the top. At least as a heel.
BTW I thought that Batista/Kane confrontation was awesome. I usually hate big men, but the way they built that up was definitely entertaining. I think overall contrary to Vince's opinions on matters, it's not having a whole roster of big men that is important, but rather if most of the wrestlers were average sized and there were only a few big men around. That's why with Goldberg, Lesnar, Show, etc out of the picture these past couple months and very small guys like HBK, Benoit, and Guerrero in the main event picture, it was actually interesting to see Batista and Kane go at it.
The finish to the Battle Royal is well thought out. Benoit is going to look stronger when he makes Kane tap, and make Helmsley look stronger when he beats Benoit. Making Helmsley smarter than Flair because *his* Ronnie Garvin (Benoit) is gonna make Helmsley look like a million bucks, because he can work with anyone and has been put over strong since his Rumble win. All the while Helmsley can't be blamed for hoarding the belt and not putting anyone over.
It's not a conspiricy theory. It will happen and it's not half bad booking.

Benoit is more his Steamboat than his Garvin. Benoit's actually had a successful title defense.

Eeeeeeeexactly! Took the words right off my fingers.
If Kane is so not over, why was that one of the biggest crowd pops? Kane is fine, leave the poor guy alone. At least coffee is not involved.
The cool thing about Kane is that no matter how many times he loses, all he needs to do is go on a tear, squash a big man, chokeslam EVERYBODY, and he'll be taken seriously again. Furthermore, Kane/Benoit has the potential to be a really good match. Benoit is Benoit, and Kane was one of the few people to pull a good match out of A-Train, and as I remember, put on quite a match with Angle once or twice.
I mean, we've gotten Benoit/Jericho in the past, Benoit/HHH and Benoit/HBK recently, and Benoit/Edge is still cooking. Kane/Hardy isn't going anywhere in particular.
Wow, the E is giving us something we've never had before?

First of all (and most important) Kane should beat Edge next week on Raw to cement his position as the #1 contender! His loss to Taker @ WM didn´t weaken him at all, but his loss to Edge @ BL did (imo), so he NEEDS to get that win back! NOW!

I think you're overestimating Kane and underestimating A-Train (although, those Kane/Train matches were early in Train's career - he's improved quite a bit from then). As for Angle/Kane, I'd give most/all of the credit for that 1 good match to Angle.

Eh. He's got that boring, generic big man offense. Punches, big boot, side slam, chokeslam. Woo. I'll admit he's impressed me w/ his recent acting and mic skills, but in the ring he's incredibly boring.

And as you may have heard I am recently a crowned class B dungeon-master. So if any of you would like to play D&D today, please speak now or forever hold your peace. We do need a druid, and you have definitely cast a level 5 charm spell on me. Alexa: In your dreams, douche-bag! Caped Boy: Douche-bags are hygienic products, I take that as a compliment. Thank you.
