Apparently everyone hated Juventud. He was travelling with Cowboy Bob Orton simply because nobody else would travel with him, he wanted to get a Rey-sized push (because he's been around as long as Rey), and wanted his girlfriend to come onto TV with him as his valet for no reason other than "Booker T's doing it."
Yeah.
So who had this long in the pool?
EDIT: I guess this means that somebody else gets his Royal Rumble payday.

I just love the wwe.com phrasing of "come to terms on a release."

He also reportedly wanted to do a mask vs. mask feud w/ Rey.

As noted, it's just that he had so much heat w/ so many people, they had no choice but to release him. The final straw is said to be the fact that his SD match against Kid Kash this week went a couple minutes too long.

Kidding.
Actually, it's a shame. Juvi was such an amazing talent years ago, one of the few luchadors who was more marketable without the mask.
Hopefully he can bounce back on his feet *maybe in Japan or TNA,* but clearly chalk him up in a long line of talented wrestlers who's attitude has ruined their career (Teddy Hart, Jeff Hardy, Sean Waltman.) | LanceJr

Why is it when some one is released the immediate thought is drugs? I mean it's stupid. No wonder why when people see any big wrestler, they immediately think they are on steroids. It's been reported everywhere and in previous posts that he is difficult backstage to deal with if you will. I think your thinking is very closed minded and in bad taste.

The business is scripted enough as it is, what with verbatim promos these days, do we really need these guys laying out matches move-for-move too? A guy like Juvi isn't getting over using armbars, fellas. There's more than one way to "work".

Why is that? Sure many people have battled their demons, but is it really fair to immediately think that ones past has coming back to haunt them?
Example...every one of my friends who don't watch wrestling asked me if I heard Eddie died. Of course I did morons!Anyway, they immediately said "drugs?". I got pissed off as an Eddie fan that the loss of a great talent and man is being thought of a drug user who died because he couldn't beat the habit. I explained exactly what happened in his situation and how he fought hard for himself and his family to beat his addiction. It's a very insulting to those who fought back from various addictions to always be considered suffering from that addiction.

Here's what I meant, about Juvi specifically:
His naked Australian freakout is such a...vivid concept, it's simply one of the first things that pops into my head when someone says his name. I can't help it. For better or worse (okay, worse) it's one of the defining points of Juvi's public image.
There's been no indications that I've seen that drugs had anything to do with his release. I never even really thought about that connection. But still, that image is there; it's easy to make that jump -- unfair though it certainly is -- the naked Australian freakout simply looms so large!
When I think of Juvi, I think of the naked Australian freakout -- that's really all I meant.

Well, he may or may not have been 'addicted' to them at the time of his death, but he was back to taking pain killers like there was no tomorrow due to ladder matches/lack of time to rest.
Didn't it come out that guys like Benoit/Malenko and others were back to looking out for him during his last few months because he was trying to get one or two more years in the business against all doctor's orders before calling it a career? Hence McMahon's "I want everyone tested so I know who's doing what once and for all" policy?
In any case, people who have fought back from addictions ARE always suffering from them. That's why they know that they can't ever go there again. Quitting them for the last while may have gotten Eddie a few more years of life, but they were still the cause of his death. Your body's not a clean slate because you stopped on Sunday.
With the stories that he has to his name, God knows what the drugs that Juvi's done in his life have done to his brain.
