| #1 Posted on 7.2.02 1432.29 | Anyone else wondering what's going on with Hennig? I'm guessing that he's gonna be the interference that ends up costing Austin the title(s) at No Way Out, tho I dunno if it'd be as an NWO member or just a guy with a grudge and a sore head...

| #2 Posted on 7.2.02 1442.15 | I wondered too, but I think they're just trying to find a place to put him right now and get him used to working with some of these guys again. Same with Val Venis. I gather that the lukewarm reactions they both got on Raw the night after Royal Rumble might have had something to their sudden disappearance. Venis might have got all the ladies going with the towel bit, but the place went silent when their match started.
BTW, dude, bring on the whores!

| #3 Posted on 7.2.02 1641.49 | I dunno - Venis and Hennig were sent out on that Raw to play the roles of Sacrificial Lambs for Austin's tirade. I don't think they really expected the crowd to get too into a match between 2 guys who were heels. They had, what, 2 minutes to get the crowd into the match? Yeah, Val got a pop and all, but it was more of a "Hey, he's back! And he's making double entendres again!" reaction than anything else.
Oh, and consider the whores brought - the Pope pulls aaaaalll the tang!

| #5 Posted on 7.2.02 2034.50 | I hate being out of the loop. But, whats a "battle pope?" Please don't tell me thats a real comic book. If so thats right up there with the "rapping with baby Jesus Cd" and the Action Ghandi doll with the kung fu grip" I just saw the other day.

Oh, yeah - it's a real comic. Funny, funny stuff, and about as sacriligious as it gets. You can see some sample pages from it in the news section of the site in my sig.
Guru - met the guys at the SDCC, I assume? Funny bastards - the books keep getting better and better.

Of course, I'd have to follow it up with "Me and Smoovy KNOW the Battle Pope Guys." Which, of course, would lead to Guru posting the "Arsenic Lullaby SDCC story" which would then devolve into us gratuitously name-dropping.
