Wow, that's all I gotta say. Last week I thought things were starting to turn around. I really hope he keeps his head up and never forgets how much of an impact he has had and can still have...

I think it's time to safely consider Junior Griffey as a non-Hall of Famer.

Over 1750 posts and still never a Wiener of the Day! But I'm not bitter!

... I remember buying an ESPN Baseball preview mag in '96 where they said we would be calling this particular time period "The Griffey Era" in Baseball. Now, I know full well the hyperbolic tendencies of ESPN, but at the time, I didn't know of anyone who disagreed with that proclamation. It's been an unbelievable turn of events for Ken since he left Seattle.

Somethings just stop being surprising at some point....

I still think he's got a shot at the Hall. He'll get to 500 homers(eventually) which may be enough to get him in.

Bringing up 1996, I swore he was going to hit 800 homers at the time...

"Junior Griffey out for the season..."

And in other news, the sky is blue, ice is cold, and the desert is really dry.

So I pranked him...to death.....with a tire iron!

In the first inning of the Reds' 9-4 victory over the Marlins today, outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. became the sixth person to hit 600 home runs in his career, joining Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Willy Mays and Sammy Sosa. Congratulations to him!
