Seeing that this week was the WWE Raw boycott, I was kind of interested in the ratings

This week the rating came in with a 3.5 (hours of 3.3 & 3.7), which is down from the 3.9 (3.7,4.1) of last week.

I don't think the boycott had anything to do with it, but you do have to wonder. With the obvious Foley tease I thought there would be more buzz... Maybe there was a slight crossover with the NHL Game 7?

On that note, the NHL Game 7 did a much more respectful 4.1, which is still really low for network standards it's certainly higher then the mid 2.5 they got on Thursday.

It was bound to happen sooner or later

Seeing that the ratings for the NHL finals went up by 1.6 points between game 6 and game 7, it is my professional opinion that hockey is to blame for the lower RAW rating.

(In other words, I refuse to give any credit to the silly "IWC Boycott")

well from what I read, the first Foley segment and the overrun got the highest quarter hour ratings. So the people watched for Foley, sadly, it looks like they didn't care for much else on the show.

Just goes to show that 2,500 people can't alter ratings. Even when that petition list includes such influential figures as Homer Simpson.

Yeah, I'm as shocked as anyone that a show with a spinaroonie contest AND more than one Triple H interview DIDN'T give Raw a much needed ratings boost.. must have been the IWC.

The best part about tht idea is that it would be a unique thing that couldn't really be copied to other belts. The Unisputed and Womens Title's are already on both shows. The I-C fits well on Raw. Hardcore wrestlers are on Raw.
