Rove should do jail time for what he did. Isn't outing CIA operatives a capital offense? How can these people be defending him the way they are, it's sickening really...

Gosh, so you've seen and heard all of the grand jury testimony and know that Rove did leak and now you're telling us about it. Isn't that a criminal offense that will give you jail time and get you disbarred?

Seriously, show me something more than second-hand claims from a questionable source that say more than Rove talked to Matthew Cooper after the Novak article was written and I'll get worked up about it. Until then, it's partisan politics as usual.

Ummm...nothing. Oh, the left will call for his head and there'll be tons of noise about it and much screaming and yelling from both sides, but in the end nothing will happen to him. And I will sit in awe as somehow the GOP leaks that kind of info and somehow is able to turn it into a discussion of how the PRESS is out of control and needs to be reined in. It's really masterful. They take one more hack at the press while using the press as their tool for vengeance. Karl Rove is the political genius of our time.

Of course it is if you tend to believe that Rove maliciously outed a CIA agent because her husband wrote an editorial in the NY Times critical of the Bush Administration's handling of the Iraq War (and I'm sure that was the only such editorial ever to appear in the NY Times).

But it's also quite possible that Rove told a Time magazine reporter that Wilson got the assignment investigating the Niger yellowcake because of his wife, a CIA agent, not because of Vice President Cheney as Wilson himself had implied in his NY Times editorial. In that case, things are a lot different.
