Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you... Carlito/Flair: They've set this up like Rey/Eddie from two years ago where the feud ends if the heel wins, so Round 1 goes to Flair.
Michaels/Orton: Great, just great. I was all cocked and loaded to see the Orton Job Tour continue and then the news about Shawn's knee came out. Looks like Randall Q. Dumbfuck picks up another win he doesn't deserve...
Burke/Punk: Burke. He needs the win more at this point, and he'll get it with Alpha Male assistance plus some cheating to boot. Striker can always screw up the rematch.
Benoit/MVP: Time for MVP to get the title, as another job would start to damage him character-wise the exact same way they ruined Chavo against Benoit last year.
McMahon-et-al/Lashley: Lashley by DQ. Jobbing him again would do even worse damage to Lashley than any potential damage to MVP. Meanwhile a DQ win keeps the belt where they want it, advances the story where they want it, and pisses all over ECW's legacy some more, which Vince seems wont to do.
Edge/Batista: Edge cheats to retain. I'd prefer that we see Edge doing his cheating solo, but the useless fat one will probably interject himself into the picture. I think this will be the main event.
Cena/Khali: The pain's almost over, folks. Cena retains in a match whose template is lifted directly from Cena/Umaga at New Year's Revolution (meaning Cena gets killed for fifteen minutes and then wins with a fluke rollup) but sucks about 100 times more.
smark/net attack Advisory System Status is: Elevated (Holds; June 18, 2006) While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.
Punk over Burke. Punk's first ever singles match on PPV.
Carlito over Flair. Though Flair still winning to draw this out wouldn't surprise me.
Lashley over everyone. Please God just end this already.
MVP over Benoit. I love Benoit, but MVP finally has to pull out the big title win here if he's going to go anywhere.
Michaels over Orton. Orton's still going to be jobbing for a while I imagine, even against an injured HBK.
Edge over Batista. Edge just won it. And I imagine they want to finish Henry/Batista first.
Cena over Khali. C'mon, Khali won't actually win the title will he? If he does, it goes back either by One Night Stand or Vengeance.
Also, I want to say it is pretty ridiculous that WWE honestly thinks they can have another PPV in two weeks and have it be good. They cancelled December 2 Dismember because they publically stated it wasn't wise to have 3 PPV's over the course of two weeks. Well they are doing that exactly right now. Backlash, Judgement Day, and One Night Stand. Three TRI-BRANDED PPV's all in 5 weeks.
The promotion for One Night Stand is already terrible. The show is going to bomb big time.
Carlito over Flair Boreton over HBK Punk over Burke Benoit over MVP - rematch at ONS cause they hardly have any originals left Vince over Lashley Edge over Batista with interference by Henry Khali over Cena by DQ

What was the last significant win Randall K. Oumbfuck picked up, deserved or otherwise? He hasn't been put over anybody important except one pin on Angle since he was suspended after Wrestlemania 22. That said, I wouldn't give Orton the win here, but I would. I wouldn't because he's Orton and they have no faith in him. I would since he's supposed to be the sacrificial offering for Hunter on his return, so if he put Michaels out of action, then that would give HHH a strong issue to come back to that he lost when Rated RKO broke up and Edge left.
I saw the same Eugene correlation as soon as I read the release. However, unlike Eugene, they've managed to make this gimmick completely run-of-the-mill by the end of the first promo. Hassan's going to be just another foreign heel.
