I've gotta say I don't think I'll be staying up untill 4AM to watch Eddie Guerrero vs. Bradshaw WWE Championship Match. Maybe I'll match Cena/Dupree and some undercard then turn it off. I mean seriously only a week or so away and the card stands at:

WWE Championship
Eddie Guerrero (c) vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield

United States Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Renee Dupree

The Undertaker vs. Booker T

and possibly...

Rob Van Dam vs. The Dudley

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read

Cruiserweight Championship Re-match
Jacqueline (c) vs. Chavo Guerrero

were any matches announced at the Smackdown Tapings?

They'll be lucky if I even plop down the $15 or so to buy the DVD. To hell with watching it live.

WWE wanted to end brand loyalty, well, they've certainly done a bang-up job of that. Now instead of 80% of SmackDown fans watching only SmackDown, almost 100% of all WWE fans are watching only RAW.

I agree with you. I haven't watched a PPV in ages dues to schedule conflicts and budget crunches. I would like to have caught some of those I missed, and now I have the chance to see this one ... and I don't wanna.

That sucks because I want Eddie to be a champ that can bring in money, but I can't justify watching him try to yank a decent match out of Bradshaw. BRADSHAW. I just haven't seen enough out of the Layfield persona to warrant such a prominent PPV spot.

Nothing else here makes me hungry for PPV goodness. SmackDown got a raw deal (pardon the pun) when they lost Benoit, Angle, Edge and Brock within weeks. They need time to recover from that, and I anticipate good things when they can get their footing again.

Until then, I'll pass on this one, and buy the Eddie shirt instead.

If Taker/Booker T is done correctly (e.g. Not a squash), then that could be a good match which could make or break the Bookerman as a legitimate contender for the Title. I wouldn't bother with Eddie/Bradshaw. It should be just above average with Eddie in there, but we all know who's going to bring it down *CoughBradcoughShawcough*. Cena/Dupree could be a good match for both men. It should put both men over. RVD/The Dudly sounds a little stupid. Why not Rey & RVD vs. The Dudley Boyz with a stip (Table?)

Why is Book being 'fed' (at the moment) to Taker? Why not Bradshaw?

If that's a spoiler from tonight's show I'm gonna be seriously annoyed. Unless I'm mistaken, spoilers are only supposed to be mentioned in identified spoiler threads. Some of us like to watch the show fresh.

According to Swatkid, who made the second post in this thread, there were no new matches added on Smackdown.

Perhaps, but

Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
listing Jacqueline as champion in a rematch with Chavo tends to suggest a title change on the show.

I bought the Rumble DVD. I made time to watch WrestleMania because it's WrestleMania (and the card ruled). And I plan to buy the Mania DVD and the Backlash DVD. Judgment Day? Unless it turns out to be awesome afterwards, I won't even bother with it. I may or may not make time to watch Bad Blood depending on scheduling and the card. It's not so much brand loyalty as much as wanting to see good matches. Odd how wherever Benoit goes, good wrestling follows.

THIS IS SIMPLE:

If you're talking about something that happens on a show that hasn't aired - or will happen in the future because of something on the show - that's a spoiler.

DON'T DO THAT WITHOUT USING SPOILER TAGS.

BigVitoMark: Sorry. To save others I had to sacrifice your ability to watch SmackDown with a bit of doubt, but I figure you might have figured it out already.

JK: Take 24 off. I'm sure you didn't mean to do that but you DID

I can't beleive that we're less than two weeks away from the PPV, and only three matches are signed, whereas RAW has about twice as many matches signed for their regular tv this Monday.

I guess the Judgment Day card is:

Eddie Guerrero v. Bradshaw
John Cena v. Rene Dupree
Undertaker v. Booker T

and possibly...

RVD & Rey Mysterio v. Dudley Boyz
Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read
Jacqueline v. Chavo Guerrero

And what else? Rico & Charlie v. Bashams? A random Cruiserweight match?

The only feuds on SmackDown right now are Eddie v. Bradshaw, Cena v. Dupree, 'Taker v. Booker, RVD v. Dudley, and that Cruiserweight thing. They're really gonna' have a hell of a time slapping the rest of this card together next week.

So, after looking at that oh so stellar card, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I'd just say skip it. And if a miracle DOES happen and it ends up being a great show, the DVD will be out in a few months, or a tape trader could probably get it to you in a few weeks. Really, though, I don't think it's worth fucking up your sleep-cycle for.

There are going to be a lot of new fans on the board soon. These are going to be the Stone Cold Steve Austin fans who just want to know what is going on. They are going to be mad. They are going to be confused.
