| #1 Posted on 13.7.02 0623.54 | From the Ross report:
-Ross put over the abilities of Jerry Lynn and said he would not be surprised to one day see him back in WWE.
Yeah, F you WWE. You had the guy and let him go, and another promotion figured out how to use him and he turned out to be valuable, now you want him back. How long till we see the WWE Z title?
Borash sent his well-wishes to Kevin Nash.. So Nash is hurt AGAIN, Vinnie Mac is paying him what $700 Gs to be a manager? Maybe this is an NWA overture to Nash should he be released? Now McMahon has to either release the guy to a company who might be able to use him effectively, as well as pair him with Hall, or keep on a giant slug and pay him an exorbitant amount of money and hope the WWE 'braintrust' can think of something interesting to do with him (not bloody likely!). I guess Vince's best option would be to try to renegotiate Nash's contract.
Also I saw Chad Collyer and Ron Waterman were cut by the WWE. Anyone know if either of these guys were any good? I had heard H2O was pretty cool.| Promote this thread! | | tomvejada

Collyer had some good matches on Metal. He was even teamed with Essa Rios once.

As for Waterman and Collyer, I'm willing to bet that Waterman is in NWATNA by the end of the month. Collyer, I don't know as much about, could he be a good X Division addition?

Jerry Lynn rules. Screw the WWE if it took them this long to figure that out.

| #5 Posted on 13.7.02 1205.51 | Waterman being released really shocked me, as he does have the look(even if he did bear a resemblance to Scott Steiner) and I thought was one of the WWE's Top Developmental Guys.
Yes, he is a former UFCer, and I agree with those that say he'll be in NWATNA by August. Or maybe New Japan. They like legit shooters over there.
As for Collyer, from my understanding, he's a Malenko student and is very good in the ring with a mat style.
Unfortunately, he's smaller than Malenko, and has less charisma. And yes, I know, that's hard to do.

| #6 Posted on 13.7.02 1206.39 | Yeah, Ron Waterman was from UFC. I think he got cut because he wasn't progressing quickly enough -- I remember Ross saying he needed work a few times -- but probably more importantly because he was too old. The guy was in his late 30s. They don't have that kind of time to waste on a guy who's going to give them maybe three or four years after he finally makes it up.

| #11 Posted on 13.7.02 1516.39 | It kills me that the WWE has had trouble coming up with ideas with guys who have absolutely kicked ass in other promotions (most notably ECW). Before the new Team Canada, they had Lance Storm and Justin Credible sitting there, with JR wondering what these "guys with a lot of potential" could do in the future. "Duh, Impact Players? Duh, what are those?" Raven and Dreamer...good for a one-minute match I guess. Jerry Lynn? Not on steroids, so HE can't be worthwhile, right?

So it kills you that they don't want to copy another promotion's ideas?

So, even if they used the brand name, it still would have been them stealing other people's ideas. The letters "ECW" didn't come up with those ideas, writers did.
People need to give it up. Get over it. What is in the past is done. If they bring up past storylines or tag teams, fine, but don't be too upset when it doesn't happen. Vince has shown many times that he hates to use other peoples' ideas, and I can't blame him.

| #19 Posted on 13.7.02 1638.05 | My point is, I'd rather see Lance Storm and Justin Credible in their old role as the Impact Players than NOT SEE THEM AT ALL. WWE has a history of hiring a talented wrestler who has been outstanding elsewhere, and then sitting around wondering what could possibly be done with them.
