This past weekend's episode of Last Week Tonight mostly focused on the WWE and the way it treats its wrestlers, mostly focusing on the "independent contractor" issue and the rate of premature deaths among wrestlers. It probably won't teach you much of anything that's new, but Oliver is clearly a fan and gets things right. Whenever he tells you something really bad about Vince McMahon, it's followed by a clip of some superstar doing something nasty to Vince. And, mostly, the whole bit is really funny (including a great Star Wars joke).
He ends up by encouraging the WM crowd to chant in support of wrestler's rights, but he misses an opportunity by not choosing a specific chant. Incidentally, there's no mention of Chris Benoit--I wonder whether that was a condition of them using WWE clips, or just a decision that he really wasn't relevant to the focus of the story. Anyway, if you don't have access to HBO, you can watch the segment on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8UQ4O7UiDs
It probably has to do with Bischoff being there. Since he was in charge of WCW, they are using the WCW Belt, giving a sense that he is actually calling the shots, rather than being just a character on the show.
