JR's not as much getting a promotion as getting a bigger title with less chores to do, as Laurinatis takes over JR's responibilities. I'd assume that hiring and firing of talent is a group decision, so the only change there is that someone else gets to let people know they're fired. If I recall correctly, JR was booking the house shows, so there might be changes there - or they might have already made changes, who knows. Because this has been in the works for so long, I don't think we'll notice much of a change. Except OVW storylines. - thecubsfan. com CMLLBlog

Go back to OK and live your old life away, I don't like JR and I think he is one of the reason why the guys that should get the belts aren't or getting the TV time they should get. Go away Good old JR Great Muta is a wrestling GOD!! praise the Great Muta.

If this improves his commentating, then I am all for this change. If this is being done purely to get DDP back into the WWE, then I am all for this change as well. And yes, prepare to see Eugene's new tag team partner next week. LOD 2005! Behold the scary undead powers of WESTERN-TAKER!

According to the Torch, Laurinatis is now the man the wrestlers will go to about time off, injury status updates, travel concerns and their latest paycheck, amongst other concerns I'm sure. Vacations, Car accidents and more!: http://parksg.blogspot.com
Well according to the Wiki stub of him, he's 6'6 and 255. I dunno if they work those or not on Wiki. Even if he is closer to 6'2 or 6'3 and 220-230 he'd be a bit bigger than the average cruiserweight.
